Fan-Tastic Fan Will Keep Open in Light Rain With Cover

Question:
We have the fantastic vent roof FV803350. Is there a way to bypass the auto rain sensor so the vent stays open during a light rain?

The solution is to cover the fan with a Fan-Tastic Vent # FVU1500WH which will keep most rain out. Then relocate the sensor to near the vent opening so if it rained hard enough to blow into the vent cover THEN the rain sensor would close the fan cover.
There is no adjustment to the rain sensor. If it gets wet at all the vent closes.
