I bought a new MAXXAIR ll RV vent cover to replace the same brand/model which I bought in 2018. The new one is 2inch narrower than the old one, which makes it a tight fit onto my 14x14 Fantastic Fan. Clearly MAXXAIR changed the size - do they also make one of the original 2018 size?

MaxxAir and Fan-Tastic Vent Fans are two different brands so you'd be better off with a cover like the Dometic FanTastic Ultra Breeze Trailer Roof Vent Cover # FVU1500BL or # FVU1500WH (white). The MaxxAir II RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover w/ EZClip # MA86JR you were looking at is 17-1/2" wide, whereas the # FVU1500BL is 19-1/2" wide.
I recommends switching over to the Dometic/Fan-Tastic branded cover to prevent any further fitment issues.
