I have a fantastic fan on my 2018 Big country. it opens automatically and only stops when it is completely open. local RV guy says i have to find a cover that allows it to completely open or it will burn up the motor. I cant seem to find one that tall. I have read that is not true, but dont always believe what i read in a forum. Your expert opinion is requested.

Fan-Tastic Vent actually has a vent cover. Take a look at # DMC38FR. It was designed to work with all Fan-Tastic Vent trailer roof vents. There is also a white version # FVU1500WH.
Assuming the cover mounting surface is no lower than the vent mounting surface you should have no problems with the lid opening all the way.
