Are there any real differences other than cost between the Brophy scissor and Torklift glow steps?

Expert Reply:
The steps are very similar but there are some key differences. The Brophy step # AS25 is not meant for permanent installation on the camper; it is to be used while your vehicle is stationary removed prior to travel. The TorkLift # TLA7506 is intended to allow permanent installation using the included bracket.
The Brophy Camper Scissor Steps # AS25 have 7-inches of rise between steps and an extended height of 40-48-inches. The TorkLift GlowStep Camper Scissor Steps # TLA7506 have 7-1/2-inches of rise between steps and a mounting bracket height of 49-1/2-inches when extended.
Either setup will work great but it really comes down to whether you prefer a more permanent install or a temporary one.
