For the best option for Brophy scissor steps, I recommend the Brophy Camper Scissor Steps - 5 Steps - Aluminum # AS25. These steps are made for entry heights that range from 40 - 48 inches tall and will work great with your current 40-1/2 inch tall height.

However, another thing that you need to know is your entry way width. With the # AS25, this is made for entryways that will be able to accommodate a bracket width of 24" inches. We do offer steps with 18-1/4 inch wide brackets. That is the Brophy Camper Scissor Steps - 5 Steps - Aluminum - Diamond Tread - 17" Wide # AS05. These particular steps are narrower as well (17 inches compared to the 24 inches of the # AS25). In order to know which size mounting brackets/steps work for you, I recommend measuring under your entryway to make sure you have the required space.
