Does Furrion Vision S+ Have to Use Included Power Cable for Monitor
Updated 04/30/2026 | Published 07/15/2025 >
Question:
I recently purchased this Vision S+ system, but havent installed it yet. The instructions for the 7inch monitor state The allowed input voltage to the monitor is 5V only use Furrion authorized cigarette adapter to connect the monitor.Any other branded adapter may damage the monitor permanently and will void the warranty. I am replacing a Vision S 5inch system and my monitor currently is powered by a 12V feed. Is there some voltage step-down in the Furrion harness that the voltage to 5V, or is this a mis-print?

Hey Mike, it is important that you use the included power cable with the Furrion Vision S+ Wireless RV Backup System w/ 1 Camera # FR57AD like the instructions indicate. If this is like a hardwire install I would look for a cigarette lighter to 2-wire adapter so that you can wire it in and use the correct connector that will allow you to have the correct voltage for it.

Thank you. After more research, I found a 12V to 5V converter with USB outlets that I will wire into my system. I'm doing this because I already have a clean 12V run to my monitor location and it's easier than re-wiring the whole thing. Thanks for your input!
