Question:
I have a 2022 RAM 3500 BigHorn with a non-360 camera in the tailgate. Id like a back up camera for my slide in camper, which I use with the tailgate removed. Showing video on the 12inch display would be great, or I could use the rearview mirror, which is useless when the camper is on. Here are photos of the connections on the removed tailgate. It looks like the white connector is coaxial and I have no idea about the other connector. Do you have any products that would work? Thanks!

Hi Sam; is there another connection in the vicinity of the one from your picture? The Brandmotion Tailgate Delete Backup Camera # BM22FR is designed to be used without the tailgate. See the attached photo with the connector.
It isn't super clear but it looks like the connector you sent a picture of is in the background behind the camera connection. I can tell this wiring harness won't fit either of the connectors from your photo. Let me know what you find.

Hey Robin, thanks for the reply. I'm on the road today, but pretty sure the dual connector in the photos is the only connection for the tailgate camera. I don't recall a skinny wire like in that Brandmotion pic. I uploaded my photo to chatGPT. No idea if it's right, but it says the connector is a proprietary RAM/Mopar tailgate camera harness connection. Here's what it says about the two connectors: 1) White round coax connector (left)....is the OEM composite video feed from the tailgate camera. It carries the actual camera image signal to the radio. 2) Black rectangular multi-pin plug (right) carries: • camera power • ground • CAN / logic signals • camera “present” detection • video reference ground Does that help?
