Updated 01/19/2026 | Published 01/15/2026

Question:

i have a Furrion system for backing up on my 2025 Keystone Cougar and I pull it with a 2025 GMC 2500 pick up and my camera and screen keeps cutting in and out, any ideas.

Hey Robert, I would check to see if something happened to the antenna on the camera if this is a new problem. It's possible it's not pointing up anymore and fixing that will get you back the reception you once had. Let me know if that helps either way. Do you have the Vision S system or the Vision S+?

Hi Robert GM trucks use a PWM (pulse-width modulation) signal on the trailer light circuits causing the camera to have constant power. The fix is a Furrion 7-way adapter (SKU: 2021132201). I have a ‘25 3500HD and pull a ‘25 GD 367BHS and this adapter fixed the issue. The cameras are now constant drive down the road. Hope this helps!

ABOVE SHOULD READ: GM trucks use a PWM (pulse-width modulation) signal on the trailer light circuits causing the camera to NOT have constant power.

I have the vision +. I pull a Jayco eagle 5th wheel that is 43ft long with a 25 F350. Mine cuts out occasionally as well. Mine is hit or miss. I just assumed it was too far away and needed a booster. But not sure

@Nate That is a really long RV so I would assume that's most of the issue. If there's any way to get a clearer line between the two sets of antennas that is going to help. You might check to make sure they are all pointed up. If there's a way to raise the camera mount so the antennas are higher up and maybe able to broadcast forward better that could help too.

I wired my Vision S+ to an overhead running light. I always drive with lights on, so it's always operating. Vision is very good and camera sees well into darkness. At night, it's a black and white picture, but still very usable. The camera has a wide angle lens so vehicles a way back are rather small. In the next generation, I'd like to have a zoom feature so it's not quite as wide angle but view further back would be larger. Ahhh, for the perfect world.

@Richard yeah a zoom in feature would be really nice! Probably would add a lot of cost though.
