These Rhino-Rack Heavy Duty crossbars are built for serious hauling. The aluminum construction keeps them light but tough, supporting up to 220 lbs while staying corrosion resistant. Whether you’re carrying kayaks, canoes, or gear boxes, the sturdy square bars hold up mile after mile. The durable build makes it easy to load up without worrying about flex or fatigue.
A secure fit matters when you’re carrying your favorite outdoor gear. This setup includes (4) 2500 Series legs and a custom fit kit that mounts directly to your naked roof for a solid base. Lockable cover plates keep the rack firmly attached so your crossbars stay put when you’re on the move or parked at the campsite. It’s a confident, locked-in setup every time.
If you like keeping your gear dialed in, these square bars make it easy. The top channels accept Rhino-Rack’s contractor-grade accessories—like ladder rollers, load stops, and eyebolts—so you can customize your rack for work or play. The rubber strips inside the channels help cushion your load and keep things from sliding around while driving.
You can count on these bars for years of use in any weather. The crossbars come with a limited lifetime warranty, while the legs and fit kit each have a 5-year limited warranty. That kind of coverage means you can hit the road with peace of mind knowing your setup is made to last.

All was good but missing a rubber strip for the roof rack bars. I called in Friday and was told I would be followed up with a resolution. No response yet. Other then that product is great
Well engineered rack that fits my Ram 2500 crew cab well. A bit of wind noise at highway speeds. I have the heavy duty cross pieces with a square cross section.
Took me awhile to put it all together because I didn’t want to make a mistake. Seems to fit well. I only wish that there was a bigger gap between front and rear bars. I know that is because of my truck design. I have not mounted my kayak racks on the bars yet. Calendar says spring but it snowed last night!
This is my second Rhino-Rack. They go on very easily and hold the bikes/kayaks and even an extension ladder very well....thanks for a great product
Installation was difficult. Directions were not that good. I bought a rack for a 2015 GMC and received the measurements for a 2014. Not sure if there is a difference between the two, but all measurements were off. Be patient when installing. I had to take the racks down a few times to adjust where the legs need to go. Haven't driven the truck with the racks on it yet. To be continued.
Love this rack system. Once it's set up and the arrow stickers, marks rack placement, are in place, taking it on and off is a breeze. I would recommend this to anyone needing a rack system for a Silverado pickup
Once again, etrailer has provided exceptional customer service. My Rhino (roof) Rack system for my GMC Sierra was delivered very fast and was relatively easy to install. Very sturdy and looks good too. Their online video library also helps confirm proper installation.
There was a small delay in shipping but I was contacted quickly by phone with a follow up email. Everything arrived sooner than I expected. The Rhino roof racks mounted easily and look good. Excellent customer service.
This rack worked out great... I installed in on a 2017 Ford F-150. We drove 6 hrs through wind and rain with a SUP and Tandem Kayak on top. It really took a beating in a storm the whole way. One bracket was a little loose and shifted because of the wind on the Kayak, but it held together. Super happy with Rhino rack!
This kit is easy to slap on and sturdy enough to balance my skis and snowboards. I recently used the Rhino Rack on a three hour drive to a ski resort and had no issues.
I used the crossbar on the front of my UTV rollbar to hold a LED light and two sun visors. It worked perfectly. I used rollbar clamps made to fit the rollbar to hold the crossbar in place.
I was in a roof rack jam. There was a national shortage of the rack I needed for my car and our summer vacation was a week away. I went to etrailer.com when I couldnt find the roof rack anywhere else on the web. Another website actually suggested that they might have what I needed.
I spoke to Ashley E on the phone to make sure that I was picking the right parts. Ashley was very helpful and knowledgable. She helped me find the right roof rack and made sure that I received it in record time. I am a customer for life!!!
I got the roof rack mounted anyways. Better pics to come when it's all finished!
Installed on a 2017 Chevy Silverado Crew cab. Great rack. It it works perfectly and is holding up well. Some times there is just a bit of wind whistle. The kayaks have chis crossed the county twice on this rack. The only issue is the top rubber piece got a little deformed from the edge of the kayaks and now it does not sit in the aluminum channel perfectly. It would be better if they used a slightly harder rubber for this piece.
Great product sturdy bars. Keep in mind anything you install on the bars needs to have longer bolts because of how big the bars are but that's a minor detail
Great product everything fit perfectly. With the heavy duty bars almost all the hardware for anything you put on the rack is too short
Ordered a Rhino Rack for my 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali. Rack arrived in very good shape and all items were there. Installing at this time and see no problems ahead.
Followed the instructions, using j hooks and torqued clamps as instructed. Combined weight for both boats was less than 100 lbs. Rails are rated for 165 lbs.
The Rhino Rack rocks! Was going to buy the other "competitor's" rack, but glad I didn't. This rack is a little less pricey, but I think it is better. It still holds 165 pounds, is aerodynamic and looks great. So happy with our purchase. I will definitely buy from etrailer again. Customer service was impeccable and they delivered as promised.
Ok… giving this item four stars as an overall view. The good: it fits a Jeep Wrangler perfectly. With the appropriate legs, it canvases across the entire roof of the Jeep with the legs attaching to the gutters. The bad: just a bit too noisy for my liking, even with the appropriate wind faring (I don’t expect absolute silence since I have a one touch sky top). The noise is not a big deal on short trips, but it was definitely driving my wife and kids nuts on a 2+ hour drive (stick some headphones on the kids, problem fixed)
In the future, I might switch it up from these square rails and go with something a bit more aerodynamic…
Very well built. Instructions are easy to follow and the whole unit feels very solid. I bought this for a last minute trip so we could bring our kayaks with us when the truck bed was full of stuff. The brackets are lined with rubber and the roof brackets have rubber feet so there won't be any paint damage once I remove the rack. Overall im very happy with this set of crossbars. The kayak rack is from another retailer.
Thanks to Etrailer, I am ready to do some serious summer exploring with my 2013 Mazda 3! Rhino Racks, Malone top box, and Kuat bike rack!
This rack works perfectly on my Nissan Versa for carrying my two Perception Sound 9'6" kayaks. The Rhino-Racks look good to me. The kayaks can rest directly on the rubber pads on the rails, unlike the Yakama racks I had in the past that had bare pipe rails. Also, I expect I can buy parts to adapt this product to a different car without having to buy new towers. I am sorry there are not hooks or loops to attach bungees when carrying lumber. They are noisy in the wind, but less so when carrying the kayaks.

One year later, still loving the rack!
