Starting with a roof rack on your 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab, I recommend the Rhino Rack Vortex Roof Rack System. This consists of # RRVA150B-2 for the two 59 inch Vortex Crossbars, # RRRLKVA for the 2500 Series Legs and # DK377 for the Custom DK Fit Kit. This system will provide an extremely quiet roof rack with a weight capacity of 165 pounds.
I have attached a demonstration video for you to check out.
Then for a kayak carrier, I recommend the Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier # S512 along with the Extension Arms # RRS512X so that you can carry both of your kayaks. These cradles will mount to the crossbars on the roof rack and will accommodate a variety of styles. Tie-down straps are included to secure the kayak both to the crossbars and to your Silverado.
