Roof Rack to Carry 2 Kayaks on the Roof of a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500

Question:

I am looking for a 2 kayak carrier that will work on a 2014 GMC Sierra with a 6.5foot bed with tonneau cover. I want to be able to carry 2 kayaks above and 2 in bed. So the carrier that goes in hitch will not work.

You will be able to carry 2 kayaks on the roof of your 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 if it is a Crew Cab or Double Cab by installing a roof rack. I recommend Rhino-Rack roof rack using # RRVA150S-2 for the bars, # RRRLKVA for the feet, and # DK377 for the custom clamp kit.

Then you can use kayak carrier # S512 which holds 1 kayak and then add # RRS512X which will allow you to carry a second kayak.

If you have a regular cab or don't want to use a roof rack then another option for all 4 kayaks is to use a tailgate pad such as # SR26457. It will be a tight fit and the kayaks will stick up out of the back of the truck but it is an expensive option.
