Question:

Hi, my wife bought a 2016 outlander sport and came with the stationary roof racks that are common on an outlander sport. But she wants an adjustable rack. The kind that has side rails and crossbars, so you can move the crossbars forward or backwards to fit your needs. This side to side thing doesnt work for she doesnt carry anything hanging to one side. What would you reccomend if anything?

It sounds like your wife's 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is equipped with factory flush rails that run front to back on the roof without any crossbars. Just let me know if this is not correct.

If this is the case then we do have a nice selection of roof rack crossbars that are confirmed to fit but they are all designed to still mount at specific locations along the side of the roof. There is not a roof rack available for your vehicle that will let you adjust the feet front to back to expand or reduce the distance between the crossbars.

I recommend taking a look at the Thule WingBar Roof Rack that consists of # TH711200, # TH710601, and # TH186003 for the Fit Kit. It has a 165 pound weight capacity.
