Do Parts of Rhino Rack Roof Rack From 2012 Ford Escape Fit 2014 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Cab?

Question:

I’m back again regarding the issue in which we determined I need the RRRLKHD for my heavy duty cross bars. I am now ready to purchase the appropriate legs but now I’m back with another question regarding the J-style kayak carrier. Looking through the site, it appears I must have utilized the Swagman Universal J-style carrier (Item # S65148) on the ford focus system. I notice that there is an adapter system to adapt the rhino rack j-style carriers to the rhino rack hd bars. Is there an adapter system for the Swagman to adapt to the larger rhino rack HD bars as well? Thank You,

I checked with Rhino Rack and the square bar roof racks that fit a 2012 Ford Escape and 2014 Ford F-150 do share the same # RRRLKHD 2500 Series legs which are for HD crossbars, so if that's what you have you would be able to use those legs on your F-150. If you have different legs there is NOT going to be a fit.

Apart from that you are correct that you would need new crossbars and a new fit kit. The correct crossbars for the '14 F-150 would be the Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Roof Rack Crossbars # RB1500B-2 and the fit kit would be the Custom DK Fit Kit for Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack Legs # DK150.

I contacted Swagman in regards to the fit of the Swagman Contour Rooftop Kayak Carrier # S65148 that you referenced, and they told me that they WILL fit the 1-5/8" wide x 1-7/8" tall Rhino Rack HD Crossbars # RB1500B-2 without any type of adapter so you will not need to purchase anything extra.
