Question:

What is the Capacity weight for this roof rack? It shows 110lbs but Weight capacity: 220 lbs Also does it comes with key locks for the rack correct? Is there much difference between this model and the ROC 25? This will be a perfect fit for a 2011 acura rdx correct? thank you for your time.

I spoke with my contact for Rhino Rack and he said the weight capacity for all Rhino-Rack roof racks for your 2011 Acura RDX is 110 lbs. I think you were looking at the Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty roof rack with the Heavy-Duty crossbars, # RB1375, the leg kit, # RRRLKHD, and Custom DK Clamps and Pads, # DK177. The Heavy-Duty crossbars will have a higher weight capacity, but once they are installed on a 2011 Acura RDX, the entire roof rack capacity drops to 110 lbs due to the limitations on the vehicle.

The main difference between the Heavy-Duty roof rack and the ROC 25 roof racks, # RR75YR, is the design. The Vortex Aero crossbars are elliptical versus square to reduce wind noise and drag. The Vortex crossbars are not as strong as the Heavy-Duty crossbars at 165 lbs maximum weight capacity, but both crossbars exceed the 110 lbs max capacity on your roof. The only decision is which roof rack system you think will look best on the top of your 2011 Acura RDX.

Keep in mind, the Heavy-Duty crossbars are also available in black as part # RB1375B-2.
