Im wanting to purchase a tracrac sr ladder rack for my 2017 chevy silverado 1500 with crew cab and 6 5 bed. I am a painter and will need to carry large ladders such as a 32 or 40 ladder. I am wondering if there is a dual crossbar solution for the roof of my truck to add support at length vs. The tracrac sr cantilever?.

We do have some roof rack options you can install and use on the Crew Cab of your 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500, while also using the Thule TracRac SR # TH43002XT-781. I recommend picking up a Rhino-Rack system since they are a little more cost-effective than the alternatives, but the aerodynamic quality will still be there. Here are the parts you will need:
- 59" Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA150B-2
- 2500 Series Legs # RRRLKVA
- DK Fit Kit # DK377
This will sit a little lower than the SR crossbars but not so low that you won't be able to use them for the same hauling situation.
