Hello, everybody. This is Jeff with etrailer.com. Today, we'll take a look at this replacement gear box for the Venture aluminum electric fifth-wheel RV landing gear assemblies. Now this part here, we're replacing damaged gear box on the Venture universal-mount fifth-wheel RV landing gear assemblies. This will also work with most other brands of landing gear, including Atwood, Lippert, and Stromberg-Carlson. It is very easy to install with minimal assembly.
Does include the collar and the screw for insulation. It is an aluminum construction and it is for a quantity of one replacement gear box. But that should do it for the review under replacement gearbox for the Venture aluminum electric 5th wheel RV landing gear assemblies..
Exactly fixed the landing gear box.
Replacement was as expected, fit right in without any issues , since this is an aluminum cast part is way better than the plastic one .

Replaced at the same time as drive motor. It is fine, seems awfully light. Hope the gears themselves are not plastic. Shouldn't have to replace it ever again.

The original equipment landing gear gearbox on my 30.5' 5th wheeler was made of a plastic-like material. It eventually stripped out and the little extensions that held it in place and kept it from twisting wore off. The replacement part from etrailer is an upgrade to aluminum. It fit perfectly in place of the original with no alterations. It works smoothly and I have confidence in this aluminum gearbox doing the job for years to come.

The gear box is more robust than the original OEM part. I would recommend to anyone to replace the OEM gear box with this one when your warranty runs out.
Drops right in, only issue is the manual pin. Sheared off the first time I had to use it. Not good....

Gearbox is still working great after one year of use. The replacement seems to be stronger than the plastic gearbox installed at the factory.
I needed a gearbox replacement for my Atwood electric landing gear. Atwood is no longer in business. I went to my local RV dealer in Edmonton, Alberta where I bought my 2005 5th wheel and they basically told me Atwood doesn't exist any more so good luck. I contacted etrailer.com and Jenny found a Ventura gearbox for me right and away and had it delivered in just over a week (would have been quicker but I chose the cheapest shipping method). Once I removed the old gearbox I realized the gearbox was fine, the problem was with the driver shaft so I reached out to Jenny once again. Turned out Jenny was out of the office but that didn't stop etrailer.com from trying to help me. They contacted Lippert and got me the Lippert replacement part # and provided me with their phone number. How impressive is that! etrailer.com goes above and beyond. They know what customer service is about. As it turned out when I phoned Lippert they told me they still have the driver shaft part number in their inventory however the driver shaft is now obsolete with no replacements shafts being manufactured. I emailed etrailer.com to thank them for their assistance and told them I "struck out" at Lippert. Even at this point they tried to find the part elsewhere but unfortunately to no avail. I highly recommend etrailer.com. Great company!

Product was an upgrade from original. Part was same shape but new one was metal versus the old plastic one that broke. Has worked well since. Repair forced me to learn about various landing gears and gave me an opportunity to service my own. Heavy lifter no doubt. Wish I had a double motor setup but whatever.
