Question:

I can’t find the right one for my landing gear box I got part number from label on gearbox is vmc940rb-128818 My 5th wheel is 2006 Dune Chaser 38 by McKenzie. It’s toy hauler. I would like to upgrade heavy duty stronger than what I have? My gearbox running like purrr until start to chuck purr chuck purrr chuck then more lift it’s starting tapping Let me know thanks

The correct replacement gear box for your Venture Landing Gear VMC940RB on your 2006 Dune Chaser 38 is either the Lippert # LC276602 or the Stromberg Carlson # LG-179015. These are the same gear box, just from two different manufacturers so just go with the best deal at the time between the two.

Both of these options are made of aluminum and will allow you to use the landing gear again without worry.

Hello, I need to get a new gearbox for my landing gear, I'm unable to find the replacement, the case on the plastic piece of junk I have now split in half. My part # is Ventura VMC940RB-257768 Also thinking about getting a fast motor depending on cost the one I have now seems like it struggles a little when raising the trailer. Thank you

@FlipD Hey Flip, the correct gear box to replace a Venture VMC940RB-257768 is the Replacement Gearbox for Venture Aluminum Electric 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear Assemblies # LC276602. If you need a new motor I recommend the Lippert HD 6500-lbTuson 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear Motor # LC196308.
