Camco Dual Propane Tank Regulator - Flip the Lever to the Reserve Tank

The Camco Dual Propane Tank Regulator automatically switches to a full propane tank when the cylinder in service depletes. Though this changeover occurs on its own, the gas gauge will need to be manually rotated to point toward the reserve tank in order to accurately indicate the backup cylinder's fuel level.

Working as if I just installed. No more smell of propane when I walk by my 5th wheel

by:

Easy Install (drilled new holes in the backing plate) and it works like a charm.
We kept smelling faint propane odors and we were going through gas too fast. We replaced all hoses and re-certified the tanks, but still smelled a faint propane odor. So, we replaced the regulator. Because the old one was still fire-ing up the stove and furnace, we did not realize that when regulators wear out, they can leak gas. Such an inexpensive fix that we plan to get another to keep on hand.
We have purchased from etrailer in the past and will continue to do so.
Note: regulator is not touching the tanks (pictures are a bit deceptive) but it sits a few inches in front of the tanks.

by:

I’m glad I found etrailer. They’ve had a lot of the parts I need and they’re service is good and staff is nice to deal with and knowledgeable.

by:

This is the second of these Auto Changeover Regulators I have bought from etrailer. The first one went on my previous travel trailer and liked it so well, I bought one for my present unit. This newest travel trailer only had one tank. We boondock camp a lot, so one wasn't enough. These regulators come with the outlets straight out the sides, so I put L-fittings on the clean things up a bit. I love buying from etrailer, because they always ship fast and carry very good products. I've bought quite a few items over the years from etrailer, and they have never disappointed me yet,

by:

The regulator is a perfectly matched replacement, quality of product appears to be well made. Installation according with instructions simple to understand. Performance is satisfactory to original equipment. Delivered received a day ahead of scheduled. Order filled promptly. Thank you,.

by:

Works perfect! Quick delivery. Thanks again etrailer.

I lived in the camper for 6 months after I purchased this product, so it was in continuous use for a while. Worked great, was still working when we parked the camper in April.

by:

Best price and fast shipping. etrailer made it so easy. I received it on the day promised and easily installed it the same day. Works great!

by:

Excellent item. It made hooking up my coffee trailer very easy to two tanks.

by:

I always appreciate the quick product delivery and followup from etrailer. I was disappointed this time, however, with the product. There were only two machine screws provided to attach the regulator to the bracket when there should have been four; the package containing the screws had been opened prior to being placed into the regulator package. Also, in my opinion, the supplier or manufacturer should have included a new mounting bracket for the new regulator rather than providing a very generic template and requiring the purchaser to adapt the regulator to an old bracket, not very efficient. I believe the regulator is good quality, but the attachment hardware could have easily been included for a better overall product.

The regulator seems to be working as expected. I never received any response from etrailer or the manufacturer to my comments regarding the attachment hardware I havent changed my opinion about that. It is a manufacturer issue, not etrailer.

I purchased a Camco 59005 propane regulator for a used travel trailer we recently purchased. I chose this item to complete an order for free shipping. I have had good service from Camco products. I was replacing a valve that was 11 years old (still working well), along with the aged rubber propane hoses. I have experienced that it is much easier and safer update rv equipment at home than in a campground while I am on vacation. Propane hoses get brittle and valves deteriorate, so I always replace anything questionable. I expect this Camco valve to give me years of good service. etrailer has treated me right on anything I have purchased from them!

Changeover valve has worked well and as expected over the last year. We used the trailer about 6 weeks this year.

by:

Bought this to replace original regulator. Seems a little cheaper made and more light duty than my original, but EVERY regulator that I found by searching GR 9984 was shaped like this one so I bought from etrailer. Installed today and everything looks good. The bracket that Was on my original regulator bolted right on this regulator. I believe this is as close to my original as can be bought. Haven’t fired up all my appliances yet, but I think it will be great. If you’ve never had the auto changeover for your dual tanks before, you should buy this and give it a try.

Still holding up. No problems. Thanks

by:

this regulator is not a direct replacement of the model 6020 Winntec regulator . I had to drill holes in the existing mounting bracket and the tapped holes had to be re-tapped to use existing screws. additionally I had to order different hoses for the tanks as the connection was different.

This regulator is designed to be an universal regulator that is used with a variety of trailers. You are correct in that it uses a pigtail like part # 100575-15-MBS that has an inverted male flare. The mounting holes on this regulator are spaced 3 inches apart on center left to right and approximately seven eights inches on center front to back.

by:

Replaced non-changeover regulator with this item. Worked great on my last travel trailer, expect nothing less on this one. Absolutely necessary to keep from guessing when you are out of propane. First became familiar with the auto-changeover feature on a 2002 fifth wheel, now I have one on my 24 ft travel trailer.

This product works very well, so glad I put this on my 2013 camper. I would recommend this to everyone who has a camper, as it makes changing the tanks much easer without getting air into the system.

I love the propane regulator I bought from you last year. I will buy all my camper needs from your company as it seems our local dealers either do not have what I want or are priced higher, either way I am very happy with your company Thanks Jim

by:

Purchased and received the regulator in the usual prompt etrailer way. Within two months the regulator failed shutting gas off to trailer leaving us without heat or gas for cooking. A call to etrailer customer service resulted in having to make a call to Camco support directly. Camco sent a replacement regulator within a week.

The replacement was installed and has been working troublefree since.

New regulator and hoses on my 20 year old camper. When you smell propane and everything is tight it is a no-brainer. Appears to be very good quality and half the price of the regulator at a local RV dealer.

One year follow-up, no problems, propane is working fine on my 2000 model camper.

by:

This was replacing a original regulator that was on the camper when we bought it. This was a great replacement, fit perfect and works like it should. Fittings matched all the hoses and it was really easy to replace it myself. I was given some advice from etrailer on how to remove and replace it. The help was very positive and correct. Thanks etrailer.com.

by:

Product has performed okay. Only issue I have is the color of the flag indicating the tanks have shifted is almost impossible to see without a flashlight.

Lasted about nine months then failed. Will no longer shift automatically. I replaced it with another brand because this is the second Camco regulator I have had to replace prematurely.

by:

A problem with my RV refrigerator led to the replacement of the existing propane regulator. One of the problems with the fridge was that the propane could not be adjusted to 11 in of water and a 2 stage regulator was recommended, hence the replacement. Shipping was prompt and the hipping charges were very modest and reasonable. Hookup was straightforward, but a trip to the store was necessary to get a new bracket (Simpson "strong tie") and drill some new holes in it for the machine screws to attach the regulator to the bracket. (NOTE: The screws are METRIC). After installation all the gas appliances worked just fine and the refrigerator fired up with a good healthy flame. I cannot comment about the long term reliability, since I very recently installed this item.

by:

I put this onto a 2021 Jayco HT Eagle 5th wheel, to replace the OEM unit that was recalled. I bought this instead of getting a replacement through the recall because this replacement unit has a low gas indicator and auto-switching between two propane tanks -- in my mind, basic functionality.

by:

So far so good. Great replacement to the one that failed. It's used in a remote cabin propane system similar to an RV setup.
Also very fast service.

by:

The product is fine but I didn't realize that I needed special adapter pieces to make the item connect to the propane and bbq. . I spent a while at Loews trying to find the adapter fittings. They had no clue but the sales help just didnt know . I will seek out a plumber. I am not super smart about plumbing fixtures so this may not be a problem for others but I wish it were clearer with the product packaging what adapters were needed to connect this to propane and the the grill.

by:

The dual propane tank rack I ordered works great! I installed it on the frame of my pop up camper, and changed from single tank to two tanks. I also ordered the regulator and the pigtails for the tanks. So happy with the ship time and installation.

by:

The 2-stage propane regulator and supply hoses were exactly what I needed to fix my RV problem. The products were delivered on time and e-trailer's hookup video provided me with the assurance to do the job myself and save a couple hundred dollars. This is not my first purchase with e-trailer and I've never been disappointed.
