Question:
Hi there. I’m interested in the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack - 1,250 lbs I love the sliding feature. I have people telling me that these racs are pretty adjustable and can fit most truck beds. I have a 2005 Tundra, which is not compatible according to the website. I just wanted to clarify that this was the case. Also, are these racs sold in stores anywhere? I’d like to see on in person and talk with a salesperson if at all possible. Thank you for your time, Samuel

Hello Samuel,
I went ahead and reached out to my contact at Thule about this one. He informed me that there used to be one for your 2005 Toyota Tundra, but they discontinued it. He sent me the part numbers for your 2005 Toyota Tundra, I attached the image so you can try to see if someone has one out there, some old stock. I know we do not have any.
I cannot suggest getting the # TH43002XT-501 and modifying it to fit your truck. It would void the warranty for one, and if something were to fail and fly off and hurt someone, that would not be good.
I know this one does not have the sliding feature, but the Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Fixed Mount - 800 lbs - Matte Black # TH27000XTB will be a great fit whether you have the 8' bed or the 6 1/2' bed.
What were you looking to haul with the ladder rack?

Katie, Thank you for the information. I looked at the photo you attached. It seems like only the Nissan info made it in the picture, it looks like the Toyota info is right below it. I’d appreciate that information. With the part number, I will contact stores to see if there are any still out there. I’d be hauling just about any longer material - lumber, PVC, rebar. Depends on the day. I wouldn’t need to throw 1,000lbs+ up there often. The sliding feature is more important to me than total capacity. Thank you for your help, I appreciate the info, Regards Samuel
