Compatibility of Yakima OverHaul HD with Tonneau Cover on 2018 Ford F-150

Question:

Will these racks work on a 2018 F-150 with 6.5 foot foot bed with a tonneau cover. The cover is a manual roll up.

The Yakima OverHaul HD # Y01151-58 will fit with the tonneau cover on your 2018 Ford F-150 if it's a Retrax XR and you use the Retrax XR Tonneau Cover Adapter Kit # Y01155.

If you have a different tonneau cover that mounts inside the bed rails then I recommend using the Thule TracRac SR which is part # TH43002XT-508 for a 5-1/2' bed, part # TH43002XT-501 for a 6-1/2' bed, or part # TH43003XT-000 for an 8' bed. This ladder rack is easily adjustable back and forth since it uses rails that the uprights install on. This ladder rack doesn't adjust up and down but it is the best alternative to the OverHaul HD if you don't have a Retrax XR.

So I have the Access roll up cover that mounts inside my rails on a F250 with a 6'9" bed. I really like the adjustable racks like the Yakima. SO First question will the Yakima retro fit with the Thule base rails. Will the Thule Base rails work with the Access cover. And am I way over thinking this? lol

@EricB You aren't over-thinking it - just trying to make what you want work. However, the design of the Thule rails and the rails that the Yakima retrofit kit are designed for are very different, so unfortunately the Yakima OverHaul HD Adapters will not work on the Thule rails. I believe all of the Access soft, roll-up tonneau covers mount inside the bed rails and leave the bed side rails open, which would allow you to install a ladder rack like the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Rac. If you'd like to let us know the model year of your F250 we could make a more specific, part number, recommendation.
