Truck Rack Installed and Securing Board

The Haul-Your-Might T3 is easy to install. No cutting or drilling is required. Assemble the uprights, and place the assemblies where you want them on the bed rails of your truck. When attaching the C-clamps, make sure that the truck bed rails are clear of dirt and debris so that the clamps can be properly secured. This rack includes adapters that work with the Nissan Titan Utili-Track system and the Deck Rail system that comes on certain Toyota Tundra and Tacoma pickups. Just position the adapters as indicated in the instructions so that you can securely attach the clamps to your bed rails. To finish installation, mount the load bars onto the upright assemblies.

This ladder rack will not work with tonneau covers or other bed-rail-mounted accessories. The Haul-Your-Might T3 will, however, work with stake-pocket-mounted accessories if the bases of the uprights don't cover up your truck's stake pockets. The universal T-slots on the top of the load bars also let you attach Rola channel-mounted carriers and accessories. C-clamps and stainless steel hardware are included for installation.

These guys shipped my ladder rack to me even after my area got hit by a major hurricane. All parts were there, and the rack is solid. Some things to note when you assemble the rack... Don't install the plastic caps for the top of part of the rack since the supports at the top are going to screw in those holes. Also, in order to loosen and tighten the lockable knobs, make sure the knob is in the unlocked position or else it's gonna keep spinning and you won't be able to turn it. Gonna use it to haul ladders, lumber, kayaks, and SUPs. Thanks etrailer!

Where do I begin. etrailer.com gets 5 stars. The product design and quality 5 stars. Only problem is that the manufacturer purposely did not include instructions. No, they included a card with a website where you can get "the latest instructions". Latest instructions? The website was worthless. There was a lot of videos but only one for a ladder rack and the video was no longer available! etrailer to the rescue. I searched online for assembly videos and found only a couple. They were made and posted by etrailer. My issue was that the rack only came with 8 flat washers but there was 16 nuts. etrailer didn't demonstrate how to assemble the main supports but rather showed how to assemble the cross bars where etrailer used the 8 flat wahers on the cross bars. So that's what I did. I gave only 4 stars because the manufacturer failed to provide assembly instructions. Otherwise this is a great product that I highly recommend. I've also had another great experience with etrailer.

Comments
After a year the ladder rack is great. We hauled two kayaks to Maine from central Ohio and other camping locations. We took the rack off for the winter and it was a breeze to reinstall. I normally wouldnt take the time to review products especially after a year later. However I like etrailer so much that it is the right thing to do.

I’ve had the Rola ladder rack for a year now and it has proved to be very sturdy and easy to use. I frequently have to slide them forward to make room for large equipment I need loaded in my truck bed and the rack slides easily in the Nissan Titan side lid rail. I have loaded a lot of lumber on them and have not had any problems carrying the weight.

Comments
The ladder rack I bought is working out great! It’s had many loads of lumber and pipe, and shows no sign of weakening. Moving the sliding racks alone is a bit of a challenge but manageable. Overall a very good product.

I have been very happy with this product for my 2019 Toyota Access Cab Tacoma (6 ft bed) after some modification. Once modified it is a Five Star review. The product required that I Drill new holes for the T-bolts in the track system. Easily done if you know how to drill an accurate hole in aluminum (look it up). the only other concern is that the two locking knobs that come with the system failed after the first year however Rola sent me two new knobs very quickly when I reported this to them.

2014 Toyota Tacoma

I just finished installing these racks on my 2014 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab. Although the instructions were overall clear and easy to follow, they contain an error with regard to the "A" dimension to which you are required to cut the center undercover piece that slides into the bottom of the cross bar. The instructions direct you to cut the "A" piece to 30-3/8" for a Toyota Tacoma, but this left them 1/2" too long. And, unfortunately, I didn't realize this until I got to the final step of assembly and didn't have enough room to slide both corner braces in. This meant having to unscrew the cross bars from the vertical supports, sliding the undercover pieces and T-bolts out from under the cross bars, cutting the center piece down by 1/2," and reassembling everything. What a pain! Now that they are installed, however, they look great and feel sturdy, and I'm looking forward to using them to haul my paddle board.

2017 Nissan Titan XD PR I spent a lot more time installing my rack mostly because I’m a bit of a perfectionist but also to be able to aggravate my wife. LOL. I made sure to cut and sand the bottom cross rail plastic to fit as if it were straight from the factory. This rack is so solid and it looks phenomenal in my opinion. I used to have a weekender on another truck and over the years it did some real damage to my bed rails and actually a ladder had fallen and dented the roof of my cab. I wasn’t interested in following past mistakes and this Rola rack has exceeded expectations to be honest. Superb quality and easy to install. The true test will be how long it lasts but it is well worth the price and it looks great, almost as if it came with the truck. No drilling easy to remove just as advertised. Instructions are online at Rola website and we’re easy to follow. All Parts included and tool list so you have in hand everything needed for installation

This thing has been awesome! Been beating the hell out of it for a year(91k miles), and it's still going strong. I keep it loaded down, and it keeps on working. Last Nov I hauled a 700lb picnic table on it, from Dallas to our place outside of Denver and it held up fantastic. To be so light and just a bolt together, it has done great. No signs of it falling apart either. If you drive alot of backroads though, I would put a little lock tite on the bolt threads. Will buy another one when this one gives up, if it ever does.

I just installed the racks on my 2020 tacoma. So far so good, they are sturdy and don't seem to add a lot of noise even though they are taller than my cab. I have hauled 2 kayaks on backroads, curvy mountain roads, in town, and the interstate without a problem.

Great rack,ez to set up and take down. I leave it on truck full time for work but they are easy to take on and off if needed. It also fits all year models as long as you have the utility track i put it on my 04 Titan just for fun ! Solid holds lots of ladders and or lumber. Wanting to build a fishing / camping platform for it soon.

Comments
It has been holding up just fine a bit of chipping of black finish after a year or so. I load it on a weekly basis with lumber for my remodels. I keep it on the 04 work trunk full time now.Makes a great hand hold for getting in and out for us OLD guys.

It takes time to put these together but, they are not hard to assemble. I plan on using these for canoes, surfboards, lumber, ladders and hunting equipment. These are great price point and load rating which is what got me to finally pull the trigger on a set of bed racks. I will update my review once I’ve used them for a few months.

This rack system is exactly what I was looking for. It slides right into the existing rail system in the truck bed without having to drill though the truck. It is wide enough on top to fit my canoe and kayak side-by-side. The only concern I would have, is if the rails in my truck bed were not still attached very well, it may weaken the structure. I did not have this issue, as my rails are quite firm and I am very pleased with the product. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a truck that has the existing rail system already in place,

Comments
Still works great. I would buy it again if I had a second pickup.

Bought this rack for my 2017 Nissan Titan so I could haul some kayaks from TN out west on a trip to see 22 national parks. Had mountain bikes in the bed of the truck and needed to have something to carry the kayaks higher. The rack worked great. Very sturdy construction and the rack looks great on the truck. I've had the rack on the truck for a year now and absolutely love it. No regrets.

2020 Toyota Tacoma

I bought this for hauling my paddleboards and some home renovation supplies. It's a very sturdy rack, a little tough to slide off once it's put together but it's not bad once you know how. It took me about an hour to put together. I originally ordered this in October of 2020 and it shipped in January of 2021 but I knew that when I ordered it. Customer service is amazing. They kept me updated on when they expected to get the rack in and when it would be shipped to me.

2017 Toyota Tacoma

I just installed these racks on my 2017 Toyota Tacoma. While it was a bit painful, I'm quite pleased with the result. Other than the usual "wish I had a third hand" thing, the main issue with installation was the plastic strips that fills the slot on the bottom of the crossbars. You have to dice each one up into 5 peices to fill the gaps between the various things mounted to that slot. The instructions tell you how big these gaps are...and if these number were right there would be no problem. But they weren't right for me. I ultimately ended up with a center strip a full inch smaller than they specify. The end gaps on mine came out at 6.0625" rather than the 5.75" they specify. If you are easily frustrated, I suggest that you just leave the plastic strip off entirely. With it out of the way you are free to adjust as you wish. The other issue, as pointed out by many others, is the locking knob. It barely tightens before it starts spinning freely. I also doesn't work all that well during initial assembly. I solved this last problem by repurposing one of the eyebolt tiedowns I bought with the rack and using it in place of the locking knob (they both have 8mm threads). I used some of the otherwise useless "Nissan spacer plates" as oversized washers (see photo). This then gave me the idea of adding 8mm eyebolts to the unused threaded hole in the upright, and 8mm eyenuts to cover the ends of the exposed bolts on the bottom of the crossbars (see photos). They might come in handy as places to hook bungie cords.

Seems to be a very sturdy, solid rack for the price. We picked up some Superstrut and some truck bed paint and added cross bars to the side of the rack using the upper support and the "unused" connector toward the center of the supports so we can add additional gear for camping, as this will be primarily used for a roof top tent and a kayak. Having the unused connector there proved to be a nice way to do this. I second using anti-seize grease for the bolts. We had one get stuck in the unused connector when testing without grease and spun it loose trying to get it out. We had to put a locking pin in to stabilize it, and then were able to add the cross bars. My main negative is--as others have stated--the locks on the rack leave a little to be desired. If you overtighten them, they are a bear to loosen because the lock slips when turning. I'm not sure they are going to age very well. I feel like I'm wearing them down every time I have to put pressure on them and feel them slip.

I like this rack. It is mostly well built and should last a long time. I will be using it to haul canoes and kayaks on my new truck. The rack was easy to assemble. It can be installed and removed from the utili-track system very quickly and easily. It has foam rubber on the bottom of the supports to help protect the bed rails. The only cons are: 1) Having to use anti-seize on the bolts. (It gets on everything and doesn't come off very easily.) 2) The rubber piece on the top groove was pretty much ruined after sliding the first two kayaks onto the rack. 3) The locking knobs are pretty much useless. One of mine stripped out on the first use and I had to pry it apart with a screwdriver so that I could get a pair of pliers on the cog and loosen it so that I could remove the rack from my truck. In my opinion, this is the weakest link in this product. Fix the locking knobs and this thing is a winner!

2012 Toyota Tacoma

All in all, it seems to be a pretty good product. Considering I have a Tacoma with bed-rail system, it was really the only option I had. The rack is sturdy when installed properly and looks like it belongs on the truck. I have two issues with the rack. 1. For my particular truck, a 2012 Tacoma, Part 5 of the instructions calls for a spacing of 30-3/8" (Measurement "A") between the tops of the corner braces. Installed as such, the brace flanges were nowhere near flush with neither the vertical supports nor the crossbar. By "dry-fitting" the racks without the undercovers, I determined that 29-3/8" provided a better fit. 2. The threaded inserts in the vertical supports, into which the corner brace bolts are attached, protrude from the surface of the vertical supports thereby not allowing for a flush fit of the corner brace flanges (see photo).

Great product, prompt shipping with a verification phone call to boot! Installation video from th etrailer website was very helpful as it was vehicle specific (2015 Tacoma). Primarily used for hauling a kayak with gear in the bed below & mattress moving a child to college. Very sturdy. The 'big box' online store had same product at same price. Elected to go with etrailer because I would rather the 'big box' not be the only online retailer 10 years from now. etrailer has great service & product was not 2nd day but pretty close and beat their own shipping expectations by about 5 days. Now my brother wants one!.. I sent him to the website.

2018 Toyota Tacoma

Not compatible with 2018 Tacoma OEM trifold bed cover hardware. This is a very nice rack that looks great and is very strong once in place. That said, I didn't see any reviews or mention of the fact that it can't be installed with the factory trifold hardware in place. My hope was that I could swap the rack for the cover reasonably easily, but in my opinion it will be about a 1 hour job at best. The reason is there are 3 pins and one bracket that must be removed to put the racks in the proper positions on the track. That requires removing a plastic cover around each (which is not too bad once you figure out how to do it) and then remove two torx screws (each) to take off the pins and bracket. A couple of those were very tight and I nearly stripped one of them. You then need to store those parts to reinstall if you want to switch back to the cover. In addition, although the video shows them reinstalling a rack that is fully assembled, in my view that will be pretty difficult. I suspect that I'll need to at least loosen the bolts to the cross bar to get enough give in the rack to get it to slide into place. Maybe with some tweaking to the assembly it would work, but mine was pretty tightly in place even with the "T" bolts knobs fully loose. So my idea about swapping is not likely to work except for twice a year when I switch from winter mode to summer and back. The rack itself looks awesome on my truck, where I've changed every chrome piece to black. In the insulation video, the crossbar looks silver, and I was thinking I'd murder it out, but it actually is black anodized aluminum, and works great with my cement gray and black thing I got going on my Tacoma. I uploaded a couple of pictures, the one close up shows one of the pins (the middle ones didn't have to be removed). You can't see the torx screws because the plastic cover is in place, but it only takes a second to peel it off, exposing the bracket behind the pin. Hope this helps for anyone with a factory trifold setup!

Directions are not the best, they are a PDF file, the rack itself is very good, recommend buying the optional tie down brackets, the box arrived pretty beat up the hardware was all intact in a small box in the center of the main box, i assembled and installed by myself ,it was easier to assemble everything except the top bar on the ground then place on truck bed then attach top rail , made adjusting the rack easier because the measurements on the instructions must have been the titan 2016 not the 2017 the locking portion of the brackets for the bed need to be played with a bit Again a good rack especially for the price i would by again, i even told my salesman at the Nissan dealership about where to find

I recently purchased the haul your might rack for my 2017 trd off road tacoma and am very satisfied. I looked long and hard to find a decent rack to haul my paddle boards, kayaks, and surfboards without costing a fortune and finally pulled the trigger on this beauty. The looks of this rack leave my truck looking super sporty and the aero shaped crossbars work well with other named brand attachments. Overall 10/10!love it.

2013 Toyota Tacoma

etrailer delivered the rack in short order. I received notifications from etrailer during the ordering and shipping. Installation was straightforward. It is a sturdy rack. I have another rack with the same rating, but I prefer the Rola. My suggestion is to dry fit the rack. I'm wondering how the locking knobs will hold up over time. It seemed like I couldn't tighten them down as much as the clamp knob. Still the knobs just hold the bed mounts in place rather than support weight, so I'm not too concerned. The videos on line were helpful giving an overall idea of the install. If I could split them up, I'd give etrailer 5 stars and the rack 4 stars. 2013 Tacoma.

2015 Toyota Tacoma

This rack fit perfectly with my 2015 Tacoma. The mounts on the bed of the truck slid in very smoothly. The rack instructions, which you have to find on line, were very simple as well. In step one DO NOT put the little black plugs IN Until you slide the covers down to the bottom. The only other minor issue was the cutting of the undercover pieces. The measurements vary a little from the dimensions provided in the instructions. The anti-seize lubricant should be provided for the few cents it might cost given the rack is over $300. Overall, a solid, well constructed rack that fits very nicely into the system on my Toyota Tacoma. I will use it to Haul kayaks and such. Worth the money and it took less than an hour to install

  • Will Rola Ladder Rack Fit with Tonneau Cover on 2016 Toyota Tacoma
The Rola Haul-Your-Might T3 # 59799 does fit your 2016 Toyota Tacoma with the deck rail system. Like you said it will not work with the tonneau cover. Whether it will fit with the pins still installed depends on their location on your specific cover. My guess is they will have to removed to but as long as they aren't interfering with the ladder rack there's no reason they have to be removed. I've linked the installation instructions of the T3 for you on this page.

  • Ladder Rack Recommendation for a 2012 Toyota Tacoma with the Deck Rail System
Yes, for your 2012 Toyota Tacoma with the deck rail system I recommend using the Rola Haul-Your-Might T3 Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # 59799. This ladder rack is one of our most cost effective options we have for your vehicle. The rack is constructed of aluminum and can support weight capacities up to 800 lbs. The aerodynamic elliptical shape of load bars reduces drag and wind noise. The load bars are 65-1/16" long x 3-1/16" wide which allows for the use of most crossbar mounted accessories....

  • Ladder Rack Needed That Doesnt Bolt to Bed Rails on a 2015 Tundra Crewmax Pro
I was able to find that your 2015 Tundra Crewmax Pro has the 5-1/2 foot bed and comes standard with the Deck Rail System. We do have some options that are compatible with the short bed and Deck Rail System which I have linked for you to check out. Since you are looking for a system that does not install through the top of your bed rails I recommend going with the Rola Haul-Your-Might T3 # 59799. Although the brackets will sit on top of your bed frame as you can see from the attached...

  • Can Uprights of Rola Haul Your Might Ladder Rack 59779 Remove Easily From Rack Base
I attached a diagram of how the feet and mounting brackets of the Rola Ladder Rack part # 59799 assemble. The base of the rack could be left on if you wanted to unbolt them from the feet but realistically it would be easier to just remove the feet all together since they install with knobs that don't require tools.

Yes, the Rola Haul-Your-Might T3 Truck Bed Ladder Rack # 59799 will install into the channel of the factory rails on your 2012 Nissan Titan. I spoke with my contact at Rola about the height of this ladder rack, and he said it measures approximately 26 inches from the top of the bed rail to the bottom of the cross rail. This height will include the height of the mounting brackets for the truck bed and the crossbar.

  • Availability of Sliding Ladder Rack for 2018 Toyota Tacoma with Deck Rail System
I do have an excellent option for you however the TracRac Sliding Ladder Racks do not fit the 2018 Toyota Tacoma. I recommend taking a look at the Rola Haul-Your-Might T3 Truck Bed Ladder Rack # 59799. This is confirmed to fit your truck and while it doesn't have quite the adjustability of the TracRac SR units it does use a simple clamp-on installation with locking knobs that allow for easy removal. This means you will be able to easily loosen the rear uprights so you can move them...

  • Ladder Rack with Sliding Capabilities for a 2017 Toyota Tacoma
I do have options for you but they do not make a TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack compatible with your 2017 Toyota Tacoma. However, if you have the factory deck rail system then your best option would be to use the Rola Haul-Your-Might T3 Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # 59799. The Rola rack uses four locking knobs on each upright to secure itself inside the rails on your truck. All you would need to do to move the rear rack forward is loosen the four kobs, slide the upright forward...

  • Installing Rola Haul-Your-Might T3 Truck Bed Ladder Rack
I spoke with my contact at Rola regarding your Haul-Your-Might T3 Truck Bed Ladder Rack # 59799. He stated that the primary function of the under cover strip you referenced is in fact cosmetic, however you may also hear a whistling sound without the strip installed because of the opening it will leave. While he does recommend installing the strip, not doing so will have no effect on the actual stability and function of the ladder rack on your truck.

  • Compatible Tonneau Cover and Ladder Rack for 2018 Toyota Tundra
There is one specific combination of tonneau cover and ladder rack that we know works well together, without interference at the two items' mounting points. That combination is a BAK Revolver roll-up tonneau cover like # BAK79410T or # BAK39410T and a Thule TracRac SR Sliding Ladder Rack like # TH43002XT-610. All of these items are for the 6-1/2-foot bed. The tonneau cover on your 2018 Tundra appears to cover part of the bed rails. I checked photos of the cover shown on the Toyota website,...
