Video Transcript for Review of etrailer Camper Jacks - Scissor Stabilizer Jacks Qty 4 - e74RV

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at these etrailer Scissor Stabilizer Jacks. Now these compact user-friendly scissor jacks are going to be a must-have to keep on your RV, your fifth wheel, your travel horse or cargo trailer, and they're going to keep those trailers level and stable. So if you are walking around inside of your trailer, you're not gonna have to worry about the trailer bouncing around or rocking back and forth when you have these installed and in use. Now these are going to adjust from five inches when they're fully collapsed as I have them here, all the way up to 29 inches when they're fully extended.

So they're gonna give you a total lift of 24 inches. And the support capacity of each jack is 7,500 pounds, giving you a total capacity of 30,000 pounds. Now these do include two of these crank handles. And giving you a closeup here of the two that I have on the center of my table here. The bearing set on the crank side is going to extend the life of the of each jack.

And I just kind of want to give you a brief demonstration of how easy these are going to be to use. So I'm just gonna include, or insert the handle there. And as you can see, these are going to extend and collapse very easily. So these do come lubricated and then you'll just keep them lubricated with grease. I believe lifting grease is what you're going to want to use.

And so you're gonna get two of these crank handles, as I mentioned. And these also come with two drill bit attachment sockets. That's going to make it even easier to operate these jacks with a power drill. So if you want to extend these or collapse these even faster than the crane candle, I think it's really a great inclusion that includes these drill bits. So you can use your power drill to easily extend or collapse these.

Now the bottom here have bow tie bases that are gonna keep these jacks steady, even on soft surfaces. And then flipping this over here, the holes here on the top plates are going to allow for adjustability when mounting. And as you can see, you are going to get the mounting screws there included with this, you see them here on my table here. The screws are zinc plated, so they're gonna resist corrosion. The hardware is built to last. And these jacks do have a black powder coat finish that's going to help resist corrosion and rust. And so with this, you are going to get four stabilizer jacks. But if you don't need four, the good news is do have some other quantities available as well. We do provide these as a set of two, and then also just one if you just maybe need to replace one. We do have that option available here as well. So if you're looking for the set of two or just the one, I am including the model numbers that you see there on your screen. You can just take the number of the set that you're looking for, pop it in the search field of our website, and that will take you to the quantity that you're looking for. These do have a limited lifetime warranty. And I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

  • Can etrailer Scissor Stabilizer Jacks Be Used For Lifting The Trailer?
Hello Larry, thanks for reaching out. We get this question a lot but the Scissor jacks like the etrailer Scissor Stabilizer Jacks # e74RV are strictly designed for stabilizing the trailer. They attach to the underside of the trailer then drop to keep the unit from rocking. They should not be used for lifting or leveling the trailer at all. They are heavy-duty jacks but they are just not made for lifting.

  • Recommended Stabilizer Jacks for a 2008 Forest River Salem LE 26TBSS Travel Trailer
Hey Michael, for your 2008 Forest River Salem LE 26TBSS you can use the Electric Ground Control TT Automatic 5-Point Travel Trailer Leveling System # LC672136. This is a fully electric system that will work with trailer that have a GVWR up to 10,000 lbs, and has an automatic extend and retract for a hands free operation. This is a bit pricey, I get that, so if you don't really care about any of that and just need a set of standard jacks, then the etrailer Scissor Stabilizer Jacks w/...

  • What Kind of Cost Effective Leveling System can I Put on My 2021 Thor Axis 25.6 with Limited Space?
Hello Roger, For your Thor Axis, a really solid and budget-friendly way to get true leveling without jumping into a hydraulic system is to go with manual scissor jacks. Two great options available are the etrailer Scissor Stabilizer Jacks w/ Handle and Drill Adapter - 24" Lift - 30,000 lbs - Qty 4 # e74RV, and the Leveling Scissor Jack Set - 24" Lift - 10,000 lbs - QTY 2 # JSC-24. • Can etrailer Scissor Stabilizer Jacks e74RV Be Used For Lifting Trailer?
Hello Ricardo, thanks for reaching out. The etrailer Scissor Stabilizer Jacks # e74RV are rated for 7,500 lbs apiece, so you get a combined support capacity of 30,000 lbs. That said, these jacks should be used for stabilizing the trailer only and should not be used for lifting the trailer for maintenance. For that, a better option is to use a bottle jack such as part # ALL647503, along with a few jack stands.

  • Are The etrailer Scissor Jacks e74RV Compatible With My Jayco Motorhome?
Hey Greg, The etrailer Scissor Stabilizer Jacks # e74RV would be a nice fit for you. With the 7,500lb support capacity per jack these are going to be plenty for your Jayco. Using all 4 it can support up to 30,000lbs, way more than you would need for your specific Jayco. How often are you able to get out in that motorhome?

  • Do The etrailer Scissor Stabilizer Jacks e74RV Have A Rust Resistant Powder Coating?
Hello Clark, thanks for getting in touch. The powder coating on the etrailer Scissor Stabilizer Jacks # e74RV is a decently durable powder coating. Full honesty though, it isn't going to be much different from the coating on other similar jacks. The slow decay of time will take them sooner or later. The best thing you can do is clean any dirt or road salt off the jacks as often as possible, and do your best to keep them dry. Using black rust oleum to touch up any scratches will also help...

  • Looking For Heavy Duty Scissor Jacks For My Trailer
Hey Greg, I would say the heaviest duty option we have for those scissor jacks are going to be the etrailer # e74RV. These come with a 30k lbs lift capacity total, with each jack supporting 7,500lbs. They come in a set of 4 for all corners of your trailer. If you need heavy duty but not that heavy duty we have a lighter set of 2 for 15k lbs, # e96VV. They can either be raised manually with the hand crank or with the included drill bit to make it easier. What kind of trailer are you wanting...
