Do The etrailer Scissor Stabilizer Jacks e74RV Have A Rust Resistant Powder Coating?

Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 02/11/2025

Question:

How corrosion resistant is the powder coat on your jacks? I picked up a set locally last fall and theyre already showing signs of rust so Id like to avoid that if possible

Hello Clark, thanks for getting in touch. The powder coating on the etrailer Scissor Stabilizer Jacks # e74RV is a decently durable powder coating. Full honesty though, it isn't going to be much different from the coating on other similar jacks. The slow decay of time will take them sooner or later. The best thing you can do is clean any dirt or road salt off the jacks as often as possible, and do your best to keep them dry. Using black rust oleum to touch up any scratches will also help to prolong the life and prevent rust.

Hey Clark, how are the scissor stabilizer jacks holding up after cleaning and touching them up with Rust-Oleum? It’d be great to know if that helped slow down the rusting. Your update could make it easier for others trying to protect their jacks too.
