Question:

We have 2 Aventon Aventure Ebikes. Looking for a 2" hitch rack with ramp and signal lights. Also can lock hitch and bikes to rack. Can you help with finding one that will work with our bikes

Hi Kalani; assuming I'm looking at the correct Aventon Aventure you need a bike rack capable of handling 77 lbs per bike. The closest option we have that includes everything you're looking for is the Thule Epos Bike Rack w/ LEDs for 2 Bikes # TH49XE. However, it has a max capacity of 140 lbs (75 lbs for 1 bike) so you're going to have to remove the batteries to carry the bikes.

This bike rack comes with locks for the bike rack and bikes, along with LED tail lights you will plug into a 4-way. Then the Thule Foldable Loading Ramp for Bike Racks # TH43VA is available as a separate add-on. If your bikes are actually a little lighter, or you don't mind pulling the batteries, this is the best rack for your application.

If you want a bike rack that can handle the full weight of the bikes we also have the Yakima OnRamp LX Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # Y88DJ. The rack has a capacity of 80 lbs per bike and comes with an integrated ramp. It doesn't have a lock for the actual bikes so a cable lock like # Y07233 will be required. The lock doesn't come with a lock core by design so you can match it up with the lock on the bike rack once you get it.

The other thing it is missing is the lights. You would have to add separate lights like # C53201 to the bike rack if you want them. These lights use a 3M adhesive backing so you can stick them onto the rear tray.

Hi Robin. Thank you for your response. The Aventure bike weight without the batteries is 75lbs. We did think of getting the Yakima OnRamp LX but my husband didn't like how you had to tilt the rack and that it didn't have the locking for the bikes. Have you heard of the HYPERAX Volt Lift SP. It looks like a it has everything we're looking for except for the lights and license holder. Can you suggest any lights that would work with that rack if we got it. Thanks.

@Kalani I hadn't heard of it until you put it in the comments here. Since we don't carry it I don't have any info beyond what is listed on their site. If you choose to go that route I would try the same Curt lights from above. They're the best solution for adding lights to a bike rack that doesn't have them. However, I'm not entirely sure how that sliding mechanism works so it could be problematic for any lights you try to attach.
