The Class III hitch for my 2008 Highlander fit perfectly and was a breeze to install (although it did help having an impact wrench). The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Although the instructions say to discard the drivers side cover panel, with a few cutouts it is possible to reinstall it.
Hitch arrived hanging out of the shipping box and scraped on one edge. Looks like the hitch fit perfectly in the box diagonally. But from handling of carrier and weight of the hitch, it tore through the box.Installation video was helpful and as straightforward shown. Only issue was screw hole alignment was about 1/4 inch off. Used a clamp to get holes aligned.Primary use is for bike rack and weather has not cooperated.
Very pleased. Quality equipment, great service, excellent instructions. Will offer one suggestion. Instructions say driver side under pan can not be re-used. I simply cut approximately 1/4" by 6" slit to allow the vertical hitch plate to protrude through the pan. I then made a cut between the opening for the tow eye and the rear part of the pan, worked it around the hitch, and re-installed it. Made a nice, neat, finished looking job and protects the underside of my vehicle.. It was a very easy mod that requires a hacksaw or razor knife. You could include a paper template with the instructions. I've already recommended you to other people.
