Question:

will this hitch interfere with my 19inch spare tire? I have seen some hitches that run into problems with this. Thanks

The etrailer.com hitch part # e98858 is a confirmed fit that allows you to keep your full sized 19" spare.

The Toyota Highlanders that we have had here for hitch installation, including several model years from 2009 on up, have all had full-size spare tires mounted underneath the rear of the vehicle. We have seen some model hitches that would not work but the etrailer.com will work fine with the 19" spare. Included are a couple of installation videos as well to provide additional information.
