Great product. Fit perfect. Easy to install. I really like the extra fastening bolt (my thule carrier has a fastening bolt - this hitch also has one on the opposite side which puts the perfect amount of pressure on the carrier)

by:

Good product, reasonable price, easy to find on etrailer. Just what was needed to add a bike rack on the rear bumper of our travel trailer. Just as advertised, works fine, seems strong enough - though time will tell. Arrived in good time, as predicted.

by:

Fast delivery. Wasn’t expecting till next week but got it 5 day early

by:

This clamp on hitch receiver arrived in only a couple of days although I live in Southern Ontario Canada. The finish and welding on this product are excellent. I will use it for attaching a bike rack to the rear bumper of our new travel trailer. I purchased the bike rack some months ago from etrailer. That was also very good customer service experience.

by:

Great vendor, great product.
We have
6 trailers at our home; 2 boat, 1 tandem utility, 3 single axle utility that need to be moved around frequently for space reasons.
Airports need to "push back" planes from their gates for which the "tugs" have hitches on their front bumpers. That arrangement allows greater steering control than if their hitches were mounted on the rear of the "tugs". So, I've mounted this wonderful hitch to the front bumper of my '86 Isuzu Trooper II 4-wheel drive which I use to position my trailers. Of course it's NOT safe for highway travel, but as a positioning aid, it is superb. Also; etrailer communications and speed of delivery cannot be improved. Don't change anything, etrailer.

by:

Just right to add a bike rack, not load rated to add a trailer.
Would prefer locking nuts, but easy to find at hardware store.

by:

I installed this item to mount the Prorack 2 bike rack on the bumper of our new trailer so that we could conveniently carry 2 lounge chairs. It was nicely fabricated and finished, and installed easily with the hardware included. I'd have given it an "excellent" rating, but I'm not sure that there won't be some future corrosion issues with the bolts provided due to the type of surface treatment. However - with this stated - I'd definitely consider purchasing this item again to meet a similar need in the future.

by:

RV Bumper Hitch attachment: Works perfect! I use two, one on each end of the bumper to attach flag pole holders. Have already had comments about the product and the professionalism of the staff and the quick mailing was impressive!
Installation was simply bolting the product onto the bumper, how easy is that!!??
No more use of U-Bolts and or having to weld pipe onto the RV in order to flag my NASCAR flags at the track(s).

Do not be doubtful of this product!! Get yourself one or two!! Thanks etrailer!!

by:

Purchased to fit on my RV bumper for bike rack/cargo carrier. Installation is as basic as you can get. I was surprised that the bolts were grade 8, but there were no washers. See no reason why it won't work very well.

I ordered the Swagman RV hitch s64025. Upon receiving the hitch early Wednesday afternoon, I opened the box and noticed that the bottom plate was missing. I immediately called etrailer and spoke with Crystal. She was sympathetic and totally understanding of my situation. She immediately placed an order for a replacement. I received the replacement hitch early Friday afternoon. I'm just waiting for instructions to return the old hitch. The original box may have been opened somewhere during shipment--I can't be sure. However, I would not hesitate ordering anything from etrailer. I ordered other items as well and they all arrived on-time and in good condition. A big Thank you Crystal, and I would be remiss if I didn't thank Reesa, and Tiffany for their help in placing other orders. This is what I call a Five-Star customer oriented company--nothing short of OUTSTANDING!!!

by:

Etrailer service is always top notch with fast shipping. They are my go-to whenever I need parts or service items on my RV's trailers or truck.
About this hitch. Easy to install & does the job. Needed it to carry bikes on the back of our travel trailer. Due to ground clearance as you leave some gas stations, I would not mount it below the bumper you may drag the bikes on the ground. In fact they say not to bolt it underneath the bumper due to the limits of the bolt strength. So for what it is intended for, it's a great solution.

by:

The Swagman RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch receiver is a very solid hitch receiver especially for the Swagman Dispatch 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2". Along with the threaded pin from the bike rack and the set bolt on this receiver there is no play or movement in the receiver tube. My bumper is 4" square and will require spacers on the back side to fully secure, minor issue.

by:

Swagman hitch fits securely on our 4” trailer bumper. Our standard bike rack works fine on the hitch. I have had several campers ask me where I got the bumper hitch and have recommended etrailer for their solid customer service

by:

I
Received my order very quickly the
quality of the material for the receiver to go on my camping trailer was exceptional. This is my first purchase with E trailer and I’m sure I will be doing more in the future very satisfied.!

by:

Luck was on your side for a nice piece of furniture for my trailer. The package arrived ok but when I went to open it -- I had no trouble. The shipping expert had forgotten to tape the box on the lid!!! Thankfully because the connector was tightly packed, it did not fall our and break someones foot or get lost and thrown in the trash.

The RV Bumper Hitch Receiver is of great quality and is easily installed. I used it to mount to my trailer steel bumper so I can carry my bikes which mount on a receiver type rack.

All three of these products have held up well and performed well. Thanks.

by:

Opened the box and was immediately impressed by the construction quality of this bike rack receiver. Easily installed on the bumper of our trailer and again, I was very impressed with the sturdy bolts, back plate and receiver. Too bad Swagman doesn't make one of these for my inferior spare tire holder.

This is a great product, period! Perfect match for my 4 trailer bumper and my bike rack. But more importantly is the quality service I receive from etrailer. They are a great source for everything you could possibly need for your trailer or RV. Ive ordered several items from them and the quality is always 5 Star! Cannot say enough good things about their customer service. They are 5 Star from top to bottom. They set the standard for customer service and products.

by:

I'm using this to mount a pretty large and heavy 4-bike rack to the rear bumper of my camper. This thing is stout. It has nylock nuts so I don't have to worry about the nuts backing off. Also has a threaded bolt hold in the side w/ bolt so that you can snug up whatever you put in the receiver (bike rack, etc.) to keep it from swaying. I really like that feature.

The receiver itself is great. I still have it on my camper. My campers bumper on the other hand was not up to the task of stress that a fully loaded 4-bike rack put on it. The bumper could probably handle 1 or 2 bikes just fine but the rack I have puts too large of a moment on the thin wall square tube bumper.

by:

Used it to place a bike rack on the back of my trailer, works great, easy connection, clamped on the rear tube of the trailer,

by:

Bought this 2" receiver to go on the bumper of my RV. Like most of you know these bumpers don't hold a lot of weight. So before I installed it I took it over to a welding shop and had them reinforce my bumper on both ends and in the center. Installed the receiver and for good measures had him run a couple of beads along side of the receiver so it would be permanent.Don't want it to walk away if you know what I mean. Very heavy duty receiver.Great choice.

by:

I have not tried to fit the product yet, but it looks substantial and it was delivered ahead of the time promised. Well done.

by:

Hold up well after 160 miles camping trip. Mounted at 4” rear bumper of my camping trailer to accomodate 2 bike rack. I only carry 1 bike for the trip. Solid and well secured using provision screw that you need to tightened once bike rack is mounted to avoid movement when driving.

by:

Very pleased with this product it's robust and solid, the bolts and lock nuts are high quality. Ordering and shipping were easy and fast. The part fit perfectly I used some gasket material to protect the bumper, would have liked to have the torque specs on the nuts. I use a Thule bicycle rack and this hitch allows me to bring along the bikes on my 5th wheel.

by:

Shipping was fast and the part was solid quality

by:

Excellent product. Very robust and it included the mounting hardware. Highly recommend!

  • Availability of RV Bumper Hitch that Can Fit 4-1/2 inch Square Bumper
Hey Caroline, the only hitch solution we have would be the Swagman part # S64025 that fits your bumper size. This isn't a u-bolt style as instead it uses 4 bolts with a mounting plate on the opposite side. It's similar but different I'd say...do you think this would work for you?

One option we have for mounting a receiver under the bumper of your RV is the RV Bumper 2 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver, item # E-100. The only problem I see with the location you are suggesting is the distance from the bottom of the receiver to the road surface. If there is not enough clearance the clamp on hitch, bike rack shank or bikes themselves may make contact with the road and damage one or all of the components including the RV bumper. I spoke with my contact at Swagman and was...

It will extend out from the original hitch pin hole an extra 3 inches. Hopefully, an extra 3 inches would not cause you any problems.
