Question:
Our RV bumper is a little over 4 wide. It is a standard bumper but there is a piece of diamond plate over the bumper. We need a way to attach a receiver hitch to the bumper. We tried the curt 4 wide hitch. It is too small, and wont fit. Will this one work? Or what else could you suggest?

Expert Reply:
It sounds like the Stromberg Carlson 2" Motor Home Hitch Receiver, part # BA-100 would be your best bet. This receiver will fit bumpers up to 4 by 4-1/2 inches. This receiver is designed for mounting accessories like a bike rack, and not for towing purposes. It has a 200 lb capacity. You will want to make sure your bumper is rated for this application and do not exceed the capacity of the bumper or hitch, whichever is lower.
