Question:

I bought the swagman 2” receiver #64025. Noticed it says it must be mount on top bumper not underneath. My problem is i cant mount on top of bumper because i dont have enough rear clearance to bolt it on. How ever it would wornk if receiver was mount underneath. Do have a solution

The only solution really is a new trailer hitch receiver because the Swagman RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # S64025 is a clamp-on designed only to be mounted above the the bumper and doing otherwise compromises the safety and integrity of both the hitch and your RV.

There are bumper mounted hitch receivers that will accommodate 2 inch bike racks, which is what the Swagman was designed to do. The Buyers Products RV Universal Receiver Hitch # 3371804060 has a 2" receiver and as you can see by the accompanying photo, installs underneath your bumper. It is designed to fit 4" square tube RV bumpers.
