Draw-Tite or Curt Hitch Receiver for 2022 Acura MDX

Question:

Trying to decide between draw tight and curt trailer hitch for MDX 2022. They look pretty similar other than a few slight differences. Could you explain why the installation on the curt is easy and 30 minutes and the installation on the draw tight is moderately difficult and 50 minutes?

I would be happy to help you. The difference in the installation time between the two hitch receiver's on your 2022 Acura MDX is that the Curt item # C22HR sits lower when mounted so it does not requiring trimming of the rear bumper cover. The Draw-TIte item # DT42MR sits higher after installation which requires you to cut a 4" x 3.5" section of your rear bumper cover out. I recommend going with the Draw-Tite hitch receiver item # DT42MR because of its final mounting location after install. It will have a better ground clearance than the Curt and be less conspicuous.
