Question:

Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2009 Chevy 2500HD With Ranch Hand Legend Bumper. Looking for something that would bolt to frame as well as to bottom of this bumper like the oem one would at least there instruction show it bolting to a frame mount hitch using spacer plates 1/4 - 3/8 thick. Trying to take advantage of the stoutness of bumper. It would have to have a pretty significant projection to the rear to clear bottom plate of bumper center. Thanks. I shop with you folks due to your quality service and knowledge.

The hitches we offer for your vehicle are designed for use with the factory bumper, but we do have options that might work for you.

The deepest drop custom hitch we offer for that truck is the B&W # BWHDRH25187 which has a 6-1/2 inch drop. The drop is the vertical distance between the underside of the frame member and the underside of the bumper. If this distance on your truck is less than 6-1/2 inches, then the # BWHDRH25187 would be a fit.

If that amount of drop isn't sufficient, you could go with a Universal fit Class V universal weld-on hitch like the Curt # C37CR for a 9 inch drop or the # C59CR for an 18 inch drop.
