Question:
My son bought a Reese shadow mount 89002 class hitch from a guy that said it would fit a Ford 2003 F-150 and of course it doesnt fit. So, my question is what vehicles does the 89002 fit and which Reese hitch is needed for the 2003 Ford F-150. Thanks for your kind attention to my question.

My contact at Reese confirmed that the part 89002 is a ball mount made for a 2-1/2 x 3/4-inch rectangular hitch opening that was for applications only on 1984 through 1995 Chrysler and Dodge minivans. This item fits no Fords at all.
For the 2003 Ford F-150 we offer both rear-mount hitches and front-mount hitches, each shown on their own respective linked pages. For a rear hitch I suggest the USA-made Curt # C14355 and for a front-mount hitch the Draw-Tite # 65025.
