You pull into camp after a long drive and your cooking gear is buried under everything else. Instead of unloading bins, this hitch-mounted EXO system keeps your prep space and gear outside your vehicle. Camp stove sold separately.
The Yakima EXO modular system keeps your kitchen and gear mounted at the hitch so you can step back and start cooking without unloading bins. The upper level carries the kitchen with the chuck box and prep space, while the lower level can carry an EXO accessory such as the GearWarrior cargo carrier, sold separately, for coolers, firewood, and bulk gear. Camp stove sold separately. The base swings away with everything loaded so you can open the rear hatch, and the top tier can be removed when you only need one accessory. Using the cargo carrier alone increases capacity to 250 lbs. Leave your kitchen packed and ready between trips so you're not rebuilding your setup every time you camp.
The EXO system uses tracks, cleats, and SpeedKnobs to swap accessories like a bike rack, ski carrier, cargo carrier, or enclosed box. You can use two accessories at once, keeping roof space open for additional gear.
The OpenRange chuck box stores cookware, utensils, and supplies in a 90-quart interior with a removable shelf and a drawer for smaller items. The front panel folds down into a prep surface to create a workspace at camp, so you're not digging through bins or trying to prep meals without a dedicated surface. The lantern hook is also included for cooking at night.
The chuck box locks into the EXO system and removes using the side handles when you want to cook away from the vehicle.
The leg kit supports the chuck box off the ground with adjustable height for a standalone setup.
The backboard organizer mounts to the chuck box or side tables and keeps utensils, condiments, and towels within reach.
The metal table gives you a sturdy place to set a camp stove or other cooking gear and includes a flip over wire rack that works as a towel holder. Camp stove sold separately. The bamboo table holds either a cutting board or the included collapsible sink with a drain tube for controlled water runoff.
Both tables mount to the chuck box at multiple connection points and use telescoping legs to adjust height, so you're not cooking off the ground or relying on whatever surface the campsite has.
The GearWarrior cargo carrier (Y37VR - sold separately) works with the EXO system to hold coolers, firewood, and larger items that do not fit in the chuck box. It detaches from the EXO system for carrying gear to camp, and an optional wheel kit (Y97VR - sold separately) converts it into a cart.
The hinged base swings away from the vehicle with the system loaded so you don't have to unload gear to grab something from the back of your vehicle, letting you pull in, swing it out, and start setting up camp.
Once extended, the top tier rotates 180 degrees to expose the lower level accessory.
The jack stand supports the system when left in the open position.
The base installs into a 2" hitch receiver using a threaded hitch pin that reduces movement in the receiver. The second tier bolts to the base to create the two level system.
Accessories mount into tracks using cleats and SpeedKnobs. Loosen the knobs, slide the accessory out, position the new one, and tighten to secure it.
This system includes SKS lock cores to secure the base, accessories, and stored gear. The chuck box has its own locking points, and additional cores allow key matching across components.
The EXO system accepts additional accessories that replace either the kitchen or lower level accessory depending on your setup.
The BackDeck table (Y84VR sold separately) adds a larger prep surface.
The SnowBank (Y57VR sold separately) carries skis or snowboards.
The DoubleUp bike rack (Y24VR sold separately) secures bikes by the front wheel.
The GearLocker (Y44VR sold separately) provides enclosed storage.
