We definitely have hitch options for your 2011 Ram 2500, Alex!

I do need to mention that we cannot ship to Australia, so you would need to have someone in the US order it and ship it to you if you decide to go with our stuff. Even if you don't though, these are the two I would recommend.

The TorkLift # TLD1102 you were looking at is the premium option and has a 2" receiver opening, which is somewhat rare for a hitch with this kind of capacity (17,000 lbs towing and 1,700 lbs tongue / 20,000 lbs towing and 2,000 lbs tongue when using weight distribution). It is also American made and has a lifetime warranty, though I am not sure how that would work with you being in Australia.

A less expensive option would be the Curt # C15809. This has similar capacities (20,000 lbs towing and 2,700 lbs tongue (with or without weight distribution)), is American made, and has the same warranty. The major difference is that this has a 2-1/2" receiver opening. If what you are taking off (or adding on) was a 2" receiver, it would be a very good idea to grab a reducer like the # e28JR so all your current accessories still fit.

How often do you pull your caravan? Would love to see some pictures if you are willing. Not very often do we get people contacting us that are camping in the outback!

Hey Alex, did you decide on a hitch option for your Ram 2500? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, especially since you're towing such a heavy caravan. Your experience could really help others in a similar situation!
