Question:

Hello, I have a 2 1/2” receiver on my motorhome. I need to adjust the height and this looks like a good solution. My question is… My Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar has a 2” tongue. I thought I should go with this 2 1/2” height adjustable receiver and the add a 2 1/2” to 2” adapter. Maybe another option is replacing the 2 1/2” receiver mount 210-0211 with a 2” 220-0197 if this is available? What would you suggest? Thanks

Hi Steve!

The easiest thing to do would be to use the Blue Ox Adjustable Drop Hitch Receiver Adapter # BLU48CR and the etrailer Magnetic Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve # e28JR so I recommend going that route.

The only advantage you'll see from installing a 2" receiver is if you plan on using your motorhome for towing multiple different things and it makes more sense having the more common 2" receiver.
