  • Recommended Aluminum Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier for Corrosion Resistance
We have one aluminum folding option for you and it is the 19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs # C18100. This carrier is well made and will store close to your vehicle when not in use. We have another aluminum option also rated for 500 lbs capacity but it doesn't have the folding option. It's the Flint Hill Goods 29" x 49" Carrier w/ 60" Ramp - 2" Hitch - 500 lbs # FHG69ZR.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2016 Mazda CX-9 with SwingDaddy Bike Rack
When we installed the Draw Tite hitch part # 76020 on a 2016 Mazda CX-9 we found that there was a distance of 6 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the furthest point out on the rear bumper. We used to carry the Yakima SwingDaddy that you mentioned and it had a distance of 6 inches from it's pin hole to the back of the knob for the swing mechanism. So you'd most likely have some contact there. The other hitch that fits your vehicle, the Curt # C13284 has the exact same...

  • Recommended Extended Ball Mount or Hitch Extender for Towing Boat Trailer
For your 2018 Tahoe and boat trailer needing a longer extension between them I recommend the Brophy Ball Mount for 2" Hitch - 3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 13-1/4" Long - 10,000 lbs # BM20. Having a longer ball mount like this will not reduce the capacity of your hitch at all. This will give you a length of 13-1/4 inches from the center of the ball to the hitch pin hole. For a compatible hitch ball the shank needs to be 1 inch diameter for this mount. I recommend the 2 inch ball # 40038 or...

  • Will the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Clear My Spare Tire on My Jeep Wrangler?
Yes! Our part number # HLY64FR is the same as the Hollywood Racks part number HR1700. These both correspond to the Hollywood Racks RV Rider. As far as clearing your spare tire on your Jeep Wrangler, there is a definite way to tell if you have enough clearance with the rack installed on your hitch (if you have a hitch receiver). Since the shank of the RV Rider measures 7-1/2" from the center of the shank's pinhole to the closest part of the rack, you have the ability to make a measurement...

  • What Hitch Fits My Non-AWD 2022 Volkswagen Taos?
Definitely! We have a great hitch that fits a non-AWD 2022 Volkswagen Taos. For that recommendation, I suggest the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C38JR. This hitch has a ton of advantages over the competitor Draw-Tite # DT79GR. First off, the Curt Hitch does not require and drilling to enlarge the bolt holes. Lastly, since the gloss overcoat over the base powder coat offers more protection than the Draw-Tite, you get more overall protection against rust and...

  • Will the RV Rider # HLY64FR Work for My 2 E-Bikes on My Fifth-Wheel with a Rear Ladder?
Yes - the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches # HLY64FR is the same as model HR1700. We here at etrailer usually have different part numbers than the bike rack manufacturer. With the ladder at the middle of your 2022 Grand Design Reflection 341RDS, there is a way to know for sure if the rack does not interfere with the RV Rider when folded up. The measurement you need to conduct is from the center of your hitch pin hole to the furthest outward point of...

  • Will Kuat NV 2.0 Fit 2017 Jeep Wrangler with 2 Receiver Extension Being Used
It is possible to use an extender like the 7" Brophy # HE06 so that the Kuat NV 2.0 Base # BA22B clears the tire on your 2017 Jeep Wrangler but even with it clearing the spare tire you wouldn't have complete access to your rear hatch area. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack is 11-3/4" so just add 7" to that measurement to get an idea of where the bike rack will sit. If rear hatch access is something that you are wanting/needing then we still have a solution...

  • Recommended Hitch Extender for a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Carrying Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack
I can tell you have been doing some research and know what you are looking for. Just as a blanket statement, any hitch extender will reduce the tongue weight of your trailer hitch receiver even if it has a higher weight capacity, like the Roadmaster Anti-Rattle Hitch Extender # RM-071-1075 that you referenced. Both the Curt # C45791 and the Brophy # HE06 options will still cause some play by themselves because of the weight sitting further out from your trailer hitch pin hole. What I...

  • 2" Hitch Extender For Use With Weight Distribution to Help Tailgate Open
Hey Gary, thanks for the question and the best option for a 2" hitch extension for use with weight distribution is one from Brophy: - 7" Hitch Extender For 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HE06 The # HE06 is rated for up to 7,000 lbs towing/700 lbs tongue weight when used with weight distribution, but please note that it will limit your hitch capacity by 50%, so you do have to go by whichever is the lowest total. For example, if your hitch was rated for 8,000 lbs towing/800 lbs tongue weight,...

  • Longer Ball Mount Recommendation to be Used with Rockstar 3XL Mud Flaps # A10100713
The Rockstar 3XL Mud Flaps # A10100713 that you referenced won't easily mount to a hitch extender as they are designed to attach to a ball mount. Hitch extenders don't typically have enough shank that is 2 inch by 2 inch for the mud flap kit to attach to. A longer ball mount like the Curt # D-26 would be your better option as it has the clearance needed. I attached a review video for this ball mount for you to check out as well.

  • Can Gen-Y Ball Mount # GY59VR be Used With Hitch Extender
You can use a hitch extender with the Gen-Y Ball Mount # GY59VR, just keep in mind an extender will reduce the capacity of your trailer hitch receiver by 50 percent. So for example if your hitch had a 5,000 lb towing and 500 lb tongue weight capacity it would be limited to 2,500 lbs towing and 250 lbs of tongue weight with an extender. If that works for you then use the 7" Hitch Extender # HE06. This doesn't come with a hitch pin so if you need one use part # ML1465DAT.

Yes, we do but unless you're using a weight distribution system you'll have to go with the 14" Gen-Y Hitch Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches item # GY89SR. It is the only one with a capacity high enough to support a 7,000 lbs trailer. If you are using a weight distribution system then the 7" Hitch Extender For 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver item # HE06 would work great. • Availability Of A 4" Hitch Extension For A 2" Hitch
I do have a potential option for you, but we do not carry a 4" long extension for a 2" hitch. The shortest extension we carry is the Yakima # Y69VR which is a 7-1/4" extension. • Recommended Hitch Extender to Clear a Spare Tire on a Jeep Wrangler
Welcome back! Happy to hear you like your Draw-Tite Hitch item # DT78MR. It sounds like you need a hitch extender. The shortest one we have available is the 7" long Brophy item # HE06. This will definitely give you enough room to clear your spare tire. It will however cut your Jeep's tongue weight capacity in half. This is common amongst all extenders and adapters and really the only option available. I have linked an installation video below that shows this extender being used on a Jeep...

  • Can I Use An Extender For A 2-1/2" Hitch In A 2" Hitch?
I do have some potential solutions for you, but we are not aware of any kind of adapter that would go from a 2" hitch to a 2-1/2" hitch. An adapter like that would cause a lot of folks to overload their 2" hitches. The 2" hitches are only rated for so much weight. Also keep in mind that the use of a hitch adapter/extender will effectively decrease your tongue weight capacity by half. Using an adapter plus an extension would drastically decrease your towing capacity, and this would not be...

  • Recommended Hitch Extender for a Bike Rack
Yes, your assessment is correct. The RockyMounts Hitch Extender LS w/ Hitch Pin and Lock item # RKY10011 will reduce your hitches capacity by 50%. You will still have more than enough capacity to carry your 1 Up 4 bike carrier. However, this extender is only recommended to be used with 3 bikes or less. If you are carrying 4 you will want to use the Brophy Hitch Extender item # HE06. It does have the same 50% reduction but it has no limit on the number of bikes you can carry. You add the...

  • What is Shortest 2 inch Hitch Extender for Bike Rack Use
Yes, the shortest hitch extender we have for a 2 inch hitch is the Brophy part # HE06 which is 7-3/8 inches of extension. You can use your Thule hitch lock/anti-rattle device with the # HE06 but then to have a similar lock/anti-rattle for the extender to your hitch you'd need something like the part # 63232 and you'd be set.

  • What Bike Rack and Hitch do You Recommend for 2 E-Bikes on My 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited?
Thanks so much for attaching a photo to your question. I have a great solution for you. Unfortunately, with your spare tire, you will need a lot of shank length in order to clear your tire. If you have a hitch installed with standard-sized spare tire, you will need additional shank length from the center of the shank's pinhole to the closest part of the bike rack on your 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. With that length, the only way to get the proper measurement with any rack with the weight...

Yes, you can use a 2-inch hitch extender when using the Swagman E-Spec # S94FR. The shortest 2-inch extender we carry is the Hitch Extender For 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver 7" # HE06. Added with the shank length of the E-Spec, it will give you a total length of 17-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pinhole to the closest part of the rack (when folded up).
