Question:

Is there a 2-1/2 to 2-1/2 trailer hitch extension available. I only need to move the hitch back about 3”. Thanks, Ron

Hello Ron,

Thanks for writing in.

We do not have a 2-1/2" hitch extender available, so I think your best option may be to go with a ball mount that has a longer shank. Something like the Brophy Ball Mount for 2-1/2" Hitch # BZ20 could work well for what you're trying to accomplish. It measures 13-1/4" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole and has a 3/4" rise or 2" drop with a 10,000 lb capacity.

To make sure this will give you the extra clearance you need, what is the measurement on your current ball mount from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole? Also, what size hitch ball are you currently using?
