Works great for a small trailer with seat control bars.
The hole were slightly misaligned in that I had to grind some of the tube so that the pin would slide through. I have two different tongue bars and both required some grinding of the Ox Hitch Extender hole to allow pin to go all the way thru. It was fine on the smaller bar only the hollow bar needed grinding on one side.
OUTSTANDING !!! I tow a camper to our farm up north and wanted to take my ATV that would not fit in my pickup unless I left the tailgate down. It was ok on the highway but I could not turn or back the trailer with tailgate down. This extender is just right and will not overload my hitch and being able to adjust it is great. This product is great and the service is even better, did I say OUTSTANDING !!!

Works great and if you use a trap thrower that goes into you hitch it gives you more room to operate never, just a side benefit.
Purchased extender to allow the rear lift-up door on my Yukon Denali to open fully. The door would hit the bow of my Lund boat. Now I have 4 plus inches of clearance. The extender is extremely well made, fit the receiver well and installs with ease. This product is exactly what I wanted to cure the clearance issue.
Shaun was great to work with on my order and is a real asset for ETRAILER CORP. She knew the product info and put everything together quickly with a smile.
The extender arrived on time as promised.
The whole process was a pleasure.

It was perfect and accomplished what I needed very well............
The hitch extender is a good product - well built. With my circumstances it has one drawback, the shorter setting will not work as the shaft stops about 1/2 inch short of allowing the pin through the hole - works out that the longer setting is what I had to have. With that in mind there are less expensive options.

I pull a 27 foot (approx. 9750 lbs. total length of 32’ ) tongued trailer behind a 06 Duramax Dually that has a flatbed dump on the truck. This extension was just what I needed. I damaged the front of our new 2016 trailer while trying to make a sharp turn on a rough dirt road. With this extension and extensions to the safety chains and the safety brake device, I can turn much sharper with no damage. On the down side, the cab feels a lot more of what the trailer is doing than without the extension because of added leverage. Cannot beat physics. I have pulled the trailer on several trips on and off paved roads and have had no signs of wear or damage on the extension. It is well built and heavy enough to take the load.
Extremely well made and strong. Most extenders I looked at were rated at 3500 lbs towing capacity. This one is 10,000 lbs. I talked to the manufacturer after reading the etrailer description stating "not for towing". This unit is made for towing and has no limitation except 10,000 lbs. It is just what I needed to give me the turning radius after installing a 9' flatbed.

It is working well, in fact I welded an 18th plate to the top and now have an ideal step.
The receiver on my Range Rover is mounted so as to not compromise the steep off road capabilities of the vehicle, but that means that coupling and uncoupling trailers presents a higher risk of damage to the rear bumper when driving on road. This Blue Ox extension is a high quality product. i feel very confident that when operated within it’s parameters, it will last a lifetime, while preventing damage to my vehicle. Highly recommended.
When you need to lengthen your 2" draw bar and need a tongue weight of more then 100 lbs. this is the extension for you. Had ordered a extension from another source and found it to be very poor quality with misaligned weld. The Blue Ox extension BX88265 is a quality product very well made with quality materials. Is just the item needed to add a bike rack to our class A tow bar for a 5000 lbs. Vehicle or larger. Thanks to Tori for all her help with this modification.
I ordered a blue ox hitch extender & anti-rattle hitch locking pin. Placing my order was so easy. Searching for the extender I needed was easy since the Etrailor website is so informative based on specific needs. Search and you will find an exact fit. The order was actually delivered one day sooner than all delivery emails had informed me I would receive my order. I would always use Etrailor fo these products.
Product is being used to help the Demco tow bar and Roadmaster shield to adequately clear the rear bumper of our Tiffin; without this it would not have been; possible to open the cable port for the towed vehicle electronics cable! It was delivered on-time (actually early) and is great quality: the insert tongue is solid, and the short set of holes matched perfectly, so I used that setting without having to adjust. Very Happy customer!
We had problems with pintle hitch being 14" from end of body. Blue Ox hitch extender brought hitch 8 3/4" closer to back. Solved a lot of clearance problems, great heavy duty product.

Blue ox products are always top notch. We purchased this extension to clear the rear end cap of our motorhome for our blue ox adventa tow bar. We ordered a longer one initially, and eTrailer was very helpful in the return process. I would recommend both eTrailer and Blue ox.
Product was exactly as described and shipping was very fast. Free shipping for some products is also a plus. I would definately buy from Etrailer again. Etrailer, in my opinion, deserves the highest rating possible. AAAAA all the way.
Just got it. Haven't had it installed yet. But one thing to mention is the packaging needs to be improved. When ups delivered it the ends were protruding way out the side ends of the box. Considering how tough these things are there was no damage to the part. Will update my thoughts once it's installed and the bike rack I'm putting on it works.
Have not been able to install yet because of location and severely sick dog. But product looks good and as always great service and and friendly people. I have ordered many items from etrailer before and have never been disappointed.

The Blue Ox Hitch Extension looks heavy duty. Anything made by Blue Ox is top of the line! E trailer did a great job of getting the product shipped the same day and arrived two days later for a very minimal fee.
I haven't tried the hitch yet but received it today. The site was easy to navigate and the hitch arrived days ahead of what I assumed. I must say I was pleasantly surprised when it arroved.
The only 1,000 lb hitch extension I could find. Should work fine to carry my Cushman Eagle (350 lbs).
It did the job I needed it for. Just didn't like that I could not use either hole on my hitch, it definitely made me nervous because of all the play
Very well built and works good. Only co.plaint is it is not welded straight at all. Still works fune.

The high quality of the Blue Ox product far outweighs the concern over a lesser product. After much use it still looks like it just came out of the box !
You can see the difference between BlueOx and other products. Heavy duty!

After initially having to widen the pin hole as I was unable to install pin, it is good. I cant use my hitch clamp to stop the movement as the unit has a ring welded on perhaps there is a larger clamp?
