Today we're going to take a look at the Demco Hijacker UMS series Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails. It has a 25,000 pound weight capacity. Now this part will allow you to mount this gooseneck trailer hitch in your Demco Hijacker UMS series fifth wheel base rail, so that you can pull a gooseneck trailer. It will also work with standard above-bed base rails from other manufacturers like BMW, Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden-Hitch, Husky, Reese and Valley that have the standard above-bed base rails. Basically easily installs and removes from the truck bed. It attaches with the pins and clips. It is constructed of a sturdy steel, and it does resist corrosion because it has a nice black powder coat finish on it.
It is made in the USA. You can see your gooseneck ball right here, and the holes for the safety chains to hook to. The ball diameter is 2-5/16", and again the gross towing weight capacity on this is 25,000 pounds. Just to show you how this would work, is you just pull these pins out, pull the clip off, then pull the pin out and you'll see your levers right here. You just rotate those out 90 degrees, and when you do that these tabs will rotate and that'll allow you and you do it on that side also, it'll allow you to lift it off of the base rails. When you go to install it, same way, you just open these up 90 degrees, the tabs will move, drop it into your base rails, once they're dropped in, just rotate these back, and then to lock them into place just drop your pin and clip through just like that, and that'll keep that handle from opening up and it locks it into your fifth wheel base rail and gives you the gooseneck ball to tow.
