With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance.

Easy-to-Remove, Simple-to-Store Hitch Ball

The durable steel hitch ball included with the Turnoverball system secures in the hitch with a sturdy, 5/8" thick steel pin that is incorporated into the end of the operating handle. To lock the ball in place, drop it into the hitch hole in the bed of your truck. Then rotate the handle in your driver's-side wheel well counterclockwise until the latch engages. When the latch is engaged, the spring-loaded pin on the end of the handle will be inserted all the way through the base of the hitch ball, forming a strong, solid connection and ensuring absolute security when you're towing.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Operation

When you're done towing, remove the hitch ball by simply pulling the handle out as far as it will go and then rotating it clockwise until it unlatches. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then reengage the latch to secure the stowed ball in place.

Unlike typical gooseneck balls - which have round bases - the Turnoverball hitch ball is designed with a square base. This makes latching the ball in the hitch easier because the base won't rotate inside of the hitch like a round base might, so lining the pin up is a snap. The base of the ball also fits tightly within the ball hole during storage. Because only the corners of the base contact the sides of the socket, any dirt or grime that gets into the hitch will fall through the socket, thus helping to prevent any buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.

Simple, Custom Installation

This hitch is custom designed for your vehicle. The included mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 4" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.

Once you have the hitch brackets and body installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the hitch ball.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Accessories

B&W makes it easy to tow just about anything. With the many adapters and accessories available, the Turnoverball can be made to work with almost any gooseneck trailer. Hitch balls are available that have a built-in rise, an offset, and even a different connection type. Add on the Companion fifth-wheel hitch - which attaches directly to the Turnoverball with no other parts required - and you can tow your fifth-wheel trailer. Even a truck bed utility rack is available so that you can easily haul ladders and lumber with the load placed on the hitch (and therefore your truck's frame) instead of your bed rails.

1986 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

Well made, installed in an 86 K30 long bed, with no issues following the instructions. Overall very satisfied with the hitch, only improvement I could suggest would be the manner in which the latch is retracted to remove the ball doesn’t always stay retracted when you climb in to grab the ball it will sometimes release and send the pin through the ball. Other models of this hitch seem to have a better mechanism. Overall very impressed after 6 months.

Review from a similar Turnoverball in Gooseneck Hitch

This is a good kit. It took me about 3 hours to install, but I'm not the fastest. You'll need a floor jack, rope, 4" hole saw, 1/2" and smaller drill bits, drill, torque wrench, sockets, wrenches, and a impact driver would help make the job faster. Use the floor jack in the truck bed with a rope to lift the heavy plate into place. See pictures.

Review from a similar Turnoverball in Gooseneck Hitch

Great sturdy product. My used 2012 F-250 came with one and now have one on my 2020 F-250, I think it's a better product than the Ford factor hitch. The installation video is VERY helpful. Torquing the bolts requires a lot strength and flexibility due to the awkward positions you have to get in but it can be done with patience and prayer. Just plan on dropping the exhaust as shown in the video. As is consistently the case e-Trailer's customer service is second to none. We've already used it several times to pull at 16' gooseneck dump trailer and it works very well.

Review from a similar Turnoverball in Gooseneck Hitch

Very heavy duty goose ball. Love that the bed is mostly free of obstructions when not using the hitch. Install took 2.5 hours for two of us and we did have access to a hydraulic lift. I couldn’t imagine trying this install alone or without the lift mostly because of how heavy this hitch is and the bolts/nuts you need to be able to reach and torque down. The worst part was drilling a 4” hole in the bed of a new truck, very nerve racking! I also like that this is custom fit for my truck and there were no hes that needed to be drilled in the frame, everything lined up perfectly. The etrailer install video was key, very informative and so much better than the instructions that came with the hitch. Delivery of the hitch was fast, only 4 days after ordered.

Great fit. I installed this hitch in 4 hours with a little help from my wife. She helped me fish a chain through the hole in the bed and attach it to a floor jack. We use it in conjunction with an Andersen Ultimate fifth wheel hitch. I used it to pull a 16,000 lb fifth wheel trailer 100 miles with no issues. Everything is still tight.

Review from a similar Turnoverball in Gooseneck Hitch

This thing is awesome!! Well designed and can be installed at home. I have not towed with it yet but that will change soon. Would state that two things, 1st torquing this to spec will require the right tools. Second make sure you have a new/ sharp hole saw. When installing mine I had a used while saw that walked a little. Just a cosmetic issue and the spray in Berliner will fix!!

Comments
Only way to go! I have used this with my Reece Goosebox and love it. With over 4,000 miles pulling and 9,000 miles on the truck total I have not complaints at all. Would recommend to ensure you grease the ball every time you hook up!!

Review from a similar Turnoverball in Gooseneck Hitch

ETrailer was really helpful when I called them with a question. Was installing pretty easy but since I have a older truck bed wasn’t exactly straight so put 2x4 under floor jack and was able to raise it enough to install my rails underneath without it hitting shock like it was first doing. Took few hours but looks good. Haven’t used it so can’t give a rating for how well it actually tows heavy loads. I plan on towing my gooseneck trailer with tractor which should be around 25k pounds.

Works great, I have no complaints. Will buy again for any other truck I have that needs one.

Review from a similar Turnoverball in Gooseneck Hitch

Between the videos and the instructions it was very easy to follow. If you’re like me and don’t want to cut your fender liners I simply removed the front bed bolts and jacked one side up to slide in the mounting rails. The only fender I had to cut was the drivers side to allow for the latch pin lever. I really like just how “flush” the hitch really is once you turn over the ball. Overall very impressed with the hitch so far and have already recommended the hitch to other family members and friends.

Comments
I’ve had this hitch for about a year and use it daily around the farm from moving cattle to hauling hay to moving equipment around and just like the first day she works like a charm. Very good investment and still highly recommend for anyone looking for a good reliable hitch!

Loved the quick shipping. Only had a few days to get this and it arrived with 1 day to spare. Had it installed at the dealer's, took a couple of hours. Hauled a heavy trailer over 400 miles with no problems. Worked great.

Comments
Had this hitch installed on a 2019 GMC Sierra Denali. I was very satisfied with both the hitch and the shipping. Just traded the Denali for a 2020 Chevy 3500 Dually last week which came with the gooseneck package so no longer have the hitch.

what a great kit, heavy duty and relatively easy to install. I installed it by myself with the help of overhead winch to hold the plate tight to the bed while I installed the bolts. you will need a 200 foot pound torque wrench to get the job done. I have had a B&W companion fifth wheel hitch in it for a year and have pulled a 16000 pound camper from Pennsylvania to Colorado and back 3 times with no issues.

Review from a similar Turnoverball in Gooseneck Hitch

The fit of the assembly is good however some of fasteners were missing; 2-1/2” x 2 1/4” bolts, 2-1/2” flat washers (45 minute trip to hardware store). Snap ring not installed on bottom of the locking mechanism (very hard to install it after the assembly is in the truck and another trip to the hardware store for snap ring pliers)

Review from a similar Turnoverball in Gooseneck Hitch

Great hitch! For the most part it was an easy install. I have air bags on my truck so I had to work around that but all in all, it wasnt to bad. It goes without saying that if you’re going to install a gooseneck style hitch, going with the B&W is the only way to go. Quality in workmanship, longevity, and a proven product. Ive used the heck out of this hitch from hauling a 5 horse living quarters trailer to a 42’ spread axle 12-ton flat bed hauling signal mast arms. This hitch didnt flinch, flex or skip a beat! The release mechanism for the turn over ball has worked flawlessly!

Great product and easy installation. Used hitch continuously for the past year pulling gooseneck trailers moving equipment and have had no problems. I would recommend this hitch to all my coworkers. It is nice to have full use of the truck bed when hitch is not in use.

It has worked just as it should. I’d recommend it to anyone. Our truck has the bed delete option, so installation was very easy and quick. It is well designed and very sturdy. I think it will very likely outlast the truck. If I had another truck that needed a gooseneck hitch, I’d choose this same option.

Review from a similar Turnoverball in Gooseneck Hitch

If you are installing this hitch on a RAM without the OEM hitch just follow the instructions. Everything is spelled out nicely. My first conversion from the Ram puck system to the B&W was made in order to use their offset ball. It was on a 2018 RAM 2500 and was pretty straight forward using the four factory mounting bolts rather than those supplied with the hitch. That way I didn't have to remove the truck bed. I just finished a second conversion on a 2019 RAM single wheel 3500. It was more complicated. I understood that this hitch was intended for a RAM without the factory hitch so I spoke to B&W to make sure the 1320 could replace my Original factory hitch. I was told it would. It did fit, however I had to drill out the holes for the four vertical mounting bolts to 3/4" so I could use the factory mounting bolts. This allowed me to install the hitch without removing the truck bed. I also had to shorten the front driver side factory bolt so it would clear the ball latch lever. I used the bolts supplied with the hitch for the four horizontal bolts because the factory bolts won't fit the B&W hitch. With the above modifications everything functions as it should. I hope this helps anyone wanting to install the B&W on a RAM with the factory puck system.

Review from a similar Turnoverball in Gooseneck Hitch

Installed on 2020 F150 5 1/2’ bed. It went almost flawless. I had 2 issues that need to be pointed out in the instructions. The crossover angle bars need to be put in a certain way in order to roll them up in place. I did the back one wrong and couldn’t get it back out so I had to loosen the bed so I could get it in place. Make sure the open end is down ^ and holes to the inside towards the center. The only other issue I has was to remove the tire to get the ball release bar in place. I have pulled a 30 ft GN with 5 large round bales of hay and had no problems. If you want a GN in your SB Ford this is the one

Review from a similar Turnoverball in Gooseneck Hitch

I installed this yesterday, along with the Companion 5th Wheel Hitch. Very good instructions, well written, great illustrations. Everything fit perfectly, no struggles with alignment. Very good hardware. Looks to be very sturdily built, the welds looks great. One thing to look out for - on my 2016 Chev 3500 anyway, the exhaust is in the way of drilling the passenger side retractable chain hook holes. You will need an angle drill or drill with a flexible extension cable. Or get your steel rule out and do some serious measuring like I did and drill the holes from the top down. I drilled the accessible driver's side, then transposed those measurements to the passenger side and drilled from the top using a small drill. After hitting the hole, I used progressively larger drills until I found the edge of the 1/2" hole in the center plate, then hogged out the hole the rest of the way with a Dremel grinder. Not a big deal, just had to get a little creative. Over all, excellent experience, from the purchase, the help from customer service (fantastic people!), fast delivery and easy install. Highly recommended!

Review from a similar Turnoverball in Gooseneck Hitch

This unit was very handy to be able to purchase and install on my Bradford Built flatbed so that I could install my B&W companion hitch with flatbed base on the truck. The welding was all fairly straight forward and didn't require much except for a few washers and a piece of flat steel for a spacer. The one down side is that the hitch pin/handle does not have any built in twist-n-lock method to lock it so the pin remains disengaged for the ball or companion assembly install like on the common B&W under truck bed assemblies I've had on several trucks. We ended up installing the pin slightly out of line so that the tip of the pin would catch on the exterior of the receiver when pulled out and then when I wanted to engage the pin just push up on the handle and press the pin back in. I do like that I can still cover the hitch hole with the cover plate as seen in the picture.

Comments
I still like the hitch and use it with my companion frequently but wish there was a twist and lock function like all the other B&W underbed hitches.
