Worked great on a 1990 Ford Bronco!

I am submitting this review even though all of your customers MUST know you have one of the best, if not THE best, trailer company in the USA. You have the best products, the best selection for various applications, and no other company can beat your prices... I already purchased a lot of your products and believe me when I say I did extensive research on the exact same products before submitting my orders due to my limited funds. All of your staff are kind, courteous, patient (when it comes to helping a trailer-newbie, such as myself) understanding, very knowledgeable, and professional. Submitting an order is easy, and all of my various orders where shipped almost instantaneously and arrived on schedule. You are the best... and then, there are all the rest! Thank you for having such a great operation!

  • What Transmission Cooler Should I use on my 2017 Ford Expedition
You can choose many of the different coolers for your 2017 Ford Expedition. The 8an and 6an fittings are for other models instead I recommend using the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class IV part # D13504 and the Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings for Ford and Lincoln part # D13024. This will give you the components you need for a direct in line connection.

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 1988 Ford F-350 with 460 Cubic Inch Engine
I'd recommend a larger transmission cooler for your 1988 Ford F-350 with a 460 cubic inch engine like the Derale part # D13504 which measures 11" Wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep. This is a larger plate-fin style cooler which is going to be very efficient and provide the best cooling. To make the install easier you'll need the fittings # D13014 and # D13024 which make attaching the hoses to the radiator fittings much easier since they thread right on.

  • Adapter Fittings For A Transmission Cooler In A 1999 Ford F-250
We currently offer two different female adapters for Ford: Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings for Ford and Lincoln # D13024. This comes with a 1/2" female inverted flare fitting. Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings for Ford and Mercury # D13014. This comes with a 1/4" female NPT fitting. If neither of these are a fit then you'd want to check out your local auto parts or hardware store, which would likely have a better selection.

  • Parts Needed to Install Derale Transmission Cooler D15200 on 1999 Ford Van
To install the Derale transmission and oil cooler part # D15200 on your 1999 Ford Van you will need the fitting adapters you mentioned of # D13014 and # D13024 as well as the transmission cooler install kit part # D13006 and the engine oil cooler install kit part # D15752 to have all the components needed.

  • How to Determine Fit of Oil Cooler for 1998 Ford F-150
When it comes to transmission coolers they are not a vehicle-specific fit so any cooler, including the Derale 25-Row, High-Performance, Stacked-Plate Cooler # D52506, will fit depending on how much space you have in your 1998 Ford F-150; this one is 13" Wide x 9-3/16" tall x 2" deep. If you take a look at the linked help article on transmission coolers you can see exactly how they fit. A stacked-plate cooler is a great, heavy-duty option but if the 2" depth is too much another option is...

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler For a 1999 Ford F-150 With 4.6L V8
I recommend using the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit # D13504 as it is one of our larger transmission coolers and will help to keep your transmission temps cooler. You will need the Adapter Fittings # D13024 and # D13025 to tie into your transmission fluid cooling lines. Unfortunately, we do not have any installation videos on a vehicle similar to your 1999 Ford F-150 at this time.

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation For A 1989 Ford F-250 With 460 c.i. Engine And C6 Transmission
Thanks for checking back with us for your towing needs. For your 1989 Ford F-250 with the 7.5L (460 c.i.) engine and towing a 7500 lbs trailer I would recommend using a Class IV transmission cooler. The Class IV rating will handle towing up to 12000 lbs. The Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler Kit, # D13504, that you have referenced is a plate-fin cooler and is one of the best Class IV coolers we carry. The Derale transmission cooler will fit inline with your factory transmission cooler. The...

  • Transmission Cooler For 2007 Ford F150
You can indeed install a cooler like the # D52506 in place of the existing factory cooler, but you might consider installing it inline between the radiator and transmission as outlined in the help article I've provided. This will provide additional cooling which will work great because unless you live in a very cold climate, you really can't over cool a transmission. You'll need one of two fittings. Use kit # D13024 for vehicles with 1/2"-20 thread on trans line fitting, or use kit # D13025...

  • How to Install the Derale Plate-Fin Engine Oil Cooler Inline with another Oil Cooler
That depends on the size of the hose that is used to install your current oil cooler. If the line is the same as what comes with the # D15405 that you purchased all you would need is 2 sets of the # D13024 so that you could install the cooler inline with your current cooler. You would need to thread each set of the fittings together and tighten them down so that you would have two male end fittings. From there you would need to cut your current oil cooler hose and install the # D13024...

  • Transmission Cooler Installation Tips for a 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis LS
The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, # D13503, would be a great choice for your 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis, as long as there is room in front of the radiator and ac condenser for the cooler to mount. Measure to be sure before purchasing, but most likely you will have plenty of room. The best tip I can give is to do some research on your vehicle. Check the radiator fittings and see if there are NPT (national pipe thread) fittings or Inverted flare fittings. Your vehicle...

  • Will Derale 8000 Transmission Cooler, # D13504, Fit A Ford F350 7.3L Diesel With Factory Cooler
The best location for the Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler Kit, # D13504, on your Ford F350 7.3L Diesel would be between your vehicle grille and the air conditioning condenser. This location will give you the most airflow and allow the maximum cooling ability of the heat exchanger. You will want to measure to make sure you have clearance to install the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger measures 11 inches wide x 12 inches tall x 7/8 inch deep. The Derale Series 8000 Transmission...

  • Does Supplemental Transmission Cooler Replace Factory Cooler of 1996 Ford F-150
Ideally you actually install supplemental transmission coolers like the Derale part # D13504 after the factory cooler so that you get the cooling power of both coolers. This means you would not have to plug the ports on your radiator. You will also want the install fittings part # D13014 and # D13024 to make connecting your radiator as easy as possible and you'd be set.

  • Best Upgrades for Towing With a 2009 Ford E-350 12 Passenger Model
The majority of problems that you will have when towing a trailer with your 2009 Ford E-350 will be related to vehicle sag; reduced braking power, decreased stability, improper headlight aim etc. These issues can then be amplified based on how heavy the trailer is or how worn the vehicle's suspension is. In order to combat these, a set of suspension enhancements will be needed. I recommend the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-107-47 for infrequent or part # SSR-107-54 for...

  • Which Derale Radiator Adapter Fitting Kit for a 2000 Ford Taurus Wagon
I spoke with my contact at Derale and the reason there are two different hose fitting recommendations is because there are two possible diameter hoses that are on the 2000 Ford Taurus Wagons. To determine the correct fitting you will need to know the threaded diameter of the transmission fluid line fitting in your vehicles radiator. If you need a 3/8 inch fitting you would need a Derale Radiator Adapter Fitting Kit, part # D13014. If you need a 1/2 inch fitting I would recommend a Derale...

We currently have 6 transmission coolers that are recommended for your 1996 Ford F-250 with 7.3 liter diesel engine. I have included a link to them below. Even though the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit with Fan, -6 AN Inlets - Class V, # D13960, is not on that list, transmission coolers are not technically vehicle specific, so you could install it on your truck with the proper sized fittings. • Recommended Parts for 2004 Ford E250 5.4 V8 Towing Trailer
You have the basics covered with the brake controller and tow mirrors but I would also recommend a transmission cooler like part # D13503 with the adapter part # D13024 and # D13014. This is going to do a great job prolonging the life of your transmission as heat is the number one killer of them and towing creates quite a bit of heat. • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2009 Ford F-150 STX 4.6L
We have a few excellent transmission coolers that would be great additions to your 2009 Ford F-150 STX, but they will each be a little larger than your factory cooler and rightfully so since you will be towing a 7,000 lbs trailer. My best recommendation is the Derale Stacked-Plate Transmission Cooler Kit, # D13402. The transmission cooler fittings you have referenced, # D13018, are not the correct part for your 2002 Ford F150 with 4.2L V6. For the 2002 Ford F150 with 4.2 L V6, it depends on what size transmission line fittings you have. If you have 5/8 inches-18 transmission line fittings you would use the Transmission Cooler Fitting, # D13025. • Do Transmission Coolers Install the Same Way on Every Vehicle
Transmission cooler installations are not vehicle specific because transmission coolers themselves are not vehicle specific so they general way they install will be the same. What is different is where you may need to mount the cooler, whether or not you will have to cut and flare lines, and what you might need to move out of the way to install the cooler in the most efficient place. All of these things are different from vehicle to vehicle. The path of the transmission fluid should be...

  • Will Supplemental Transmission Cooler Help 2001 Ford E350 Van
So let's start with benefit, and the answer is absolutely yes, your 2001 Ford E350 van will benefit from a supplemental transmission cooler. Reason is, you cannot overcool fluids, and because towing is a stressor, additional cooling keeps temperatures down and helps prolong the lifespan of your transmission whereas just the factory cooler won't have that effect. And while a stacked plate cooler is good, you will get just as much cooling prowess from a plate-and-fin cooler which agitates...

Both the Derale Transmission Coolers # D13503 and # D13504 referenced in your question are great options for your 2009 Ford F-150. Between the two options, I recommend going with the Derale # D13504, as its slightly larger size will allow for a greater cooling capacity. The unit measures 11 inches wide, 12 inches tall, and 7/8 inches deep. As long as you have the required space behind the grille of your F-150, this cooler will work perfectly.
