Question:
What would be the most effective transmission cooler to install in this truck and where should I mount it? Will I need any special tools or brackets? Much thanks

Expert Reply:
I'd recommend a larger transmission cooler for your 1988 Ford F-350 with a 460 cubic inch engine like the Derale part # D13504 which measures 11" Wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep. This is a larger plate-fin style cooler which is going to be very efficient and provide the best cooling. To make the install easier you'll need the fittings # D13014 and # D13024 which make attaching the hoses to the radiator fittings much easier since they thread right on.
