Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your trunk, behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will need to remove some interior trim or carpeting to access the harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed within your trunk.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

The hitch did not have additional packaging materials inside the box to prevent the hitch from moving during shipping. The hitch should have better packaging material inside to prevent the hitch from moving around inside the box during shipping.
Easy install. Worked great on our recent 7 week drive to Alaska and back!
For the most part I am very happy with this wiring kit. Assembly was easy and everything fit perfectly. However, I didn’t run the hot wire (black) to the battery. That would have made the installation much more difficult. I simply spliced in a 12 volt plug. When I use the trailer I just plug it into the receptacle in the rear of the car. I attached 2 photos of my hot lead. This option works great.
Thank you etrailer.com! Not only did the hitch I ordered arrive sooner than expected, it was super easy to install...in about 30-40 minutes. The wiring harness took a bit longer, but thanks to the "how-to" video, we got it installed perfectly, didn't break anything...and it works!! We did the complete install in our driveway, without any jacks. Luckily, I fit under the car with more ease than my husband and was able to thread the wiring just like the video showed. By the way, I'm a 64 year-old grandmother and if I can do this, anyone can. The hitch looks great and we are extremely happy with the entire process, from ordering to install. Hitch and wiring harness install went well everything works - videos were very helpful - BE SURE TO: clean holes opposite the tow hook thoroghly w oil
Wiring kit was easy to install, the hard part was running the wire to the front of the car for battery power. Other than that, it was so simple, even a 64-year-old can do it.
We have put the trailer hitch to good use since we got it. Right away, we rented a large flatbed trailer from uhaul to move 4 hours to our new home. We've also rented other trailers to move furniture we purchased, appliances, etc. The trailer hitch was easy to install, very easy try put on and take off and it is extremely durable. Zero complaints!
With the helpful videos this was very easy. We luckily had a car lift in a shop to use. We installed and plugged it in and works great. Now we can go pick up the boat and boat trailer that was given to us.

Its still working wondeful
Needed a lightweight hitch and wiring harness for getting a small trailer w/ two kayaks to my favorite fishing holes. Super happy with everything. Would recommend etrailer to everybody that asks.
My product arrived earlier than expected and the packaging was protective and all intact.
The Curt Hitch Includes everything you need for the installation. Right out of the box you can feel and see the quality. It is a bit heavy so I suggest a helper when you’re ready to lift it up and install the bolts. The installation video was awesome and it even used my year/model Nissan Rogue so everything it showed underneath my vehicle was accurate and there were no surprises. The video suggested tying off the muffler and on my model, and I didn’t need to. All in all, the install was much simpler than I expected and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results.
The Tekonsha T-One wiring kit (ordered separately) includes everything you need for the installation, down to wiring connectors and zip ties. Quite impressive. I can’t say enough about the quality and thoroughness of the etrailer installation video. It used my exact vehicle so there were no surprises. I used my iPad, watched the entire video to get a feel, and then used pause and play as I proceeded. The only challenging part for me was running the included 12v wire underneath the body frame to the battery. It was an adventure but I got it done. When I was done, the trailer lights lit up and I couldn’t be more pleased, with the product and the support. Thank etrailer for your excellence. Pretty rare these days.
The online video installation guides are excellent! I've never attempted something like this on my car before, but the clear instructions made it a snap. I had the hitch receiver and the wiring done in a couple hours. It was a fun project to do and I learned a few things along the way.

This was an exact fit, however, I took away a star based on having to run a constant +12 volts from the rear of vehicle to the battery. It seems that there could have been a connector to the brake light wiring for a constant live 12volts.
The product is solid and the video instructions for both the hitch and wiring was absolutely helpful and easy to follow. It is a sure fit for my vehicle. The time it took me to finish the install and wiring is o/a 2 1/2 hrs. And it is because I did not have a lift or a maintenance bay to go under the vehicle.
Here is a picture of the hitch receiver and the electrical plug. My installer decided to keep the plug near the hitch and not in the car when not in use.
Hitch was a perfect fit, undamaged in shipment and this 77 year old installed it alone in 18 minutes. Easy to install and prompt service. Intended for use mostly with a cargo carrier.
Quality products, only gave it a 4 star due to the fact that the mounting holes on the hitch didn’t line up great. Had to wrestle one of the five bolts in. Other then that I would do business with etrailer again!

The shop that installed my trailer hitch couldn't find a wiring harness for my car from their suppliers. After waiting until a few days from my first trip pulling my bike with the new car, I took matters into my own hands and ordered this item overnight from etrailer.com. I got it about 10 am the next morning in great shape. The shop installed it without any hassle, and it works great. Worked flawlessly for a year now. Id estimate I use it twice a month or so. I recommend this wiring harness highly.
Tow hitch and wiring Is exactly how it’s described the videos on how to install both items I purchase were really helpful to do it my self and and save me some $$ I would definitely buy from etrailers again
Works great! The video really helped on the install and broke it down step by step. I did run short on time at the end and just tapped the 12v power outlet in the back cargo area instead of running the power wire all the way up to the battery. Hopefully it doesn't cause any issues in the future.

100 satisfied with the T-one wiring harness I installed on my 2011 Nissan Rogue a year ago. Would highly recommend anybody who is looking for a wiring harness to purchase it from etrailer, as it comes with instructions that make installation very easy. Also, this is a high quality product.
Recieved the parts 2 days early. Already installed and tested going to use tomorrow morning. Nice job
