Can I Replace Just the Module/Converter of My Curt 4 Flat Wiring?

Updated 09/01/2026 | Published 08/27/2026

Question:

Years ago I bought a Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector from etrailer and installed it on my 2018 Honda Odyssey. Recently the right turn and brake indicator has stopped working. After some debugging with a meter and test light I believe that the output from the curt module is not functioning. I can confirm that the input from the vehicle harness is working and there is continuity from the curt module to my trailer lights. I suspect the unit is defective and I will have to replace. Before I do that, is there anything else we could try? Thank you.

Hello Colin,

Thanks for finally finding a reason to write into us!

Based on the troubleshooting you already did, replacement is going to be the next step. Since you confirmed the input is there and the wiring has continuity, but you are not getting the proper output from the converter, that points to the module itself having failed.

I really wish there was a quick and easy fix for you, but the module/converter is not available separately. You will need to replace the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56382.

I see you purchased the original harness from us back in 2018, so it is outside of Curt's 1-year warranty.

What are you towing with the vehicle these days?
