You can't have anything else on your crossbars if you want to use this rack. The sercurimg bars do not swivel. Target they slide aaaallll the way out then you rotate and put them back in. Very low rent design for the price. Would not recommend.
Great company and customer service. The product was shipped quickly and arrived in a few days. The Lockrack is awesome. I use it for surfboards. It’s so easy to use. I have been using the product for several years and am very pleased with how simple and durable it is.
What you need to know: if you don’t have t-slots, these are unusable as is. I tried to find this out before ordering, but somehow I failed. They look nice. Me? I’m not 100% sure I trust t-slots on aluminum racks to keep a kayak on the roof at speed. The instructions arrived after the package via pdf, which clearly says you may or may not have adapters in your box. One thing for sure..you will not figure out how to install without the instructions even though it appears quite simple. Unfortunately, part of my usecase is low profile so I can fit in the garage…the adapters that you can order, I think, look to significantly add to the roof height.
After 20,000mi of hauling and adventuring with this rack, I can confidently say it holds everything down well. The plastic locking mechanism and rubber grips work consistently in the hot desert and up in the cold mountains.
The only thing keeping me from giving a 5-star review is the whistling, which I solved by compressing a foam tile between the rack and bar (photo attached).
Easy installation. Secure. No straps required. Drove 8 hours up to 80 mph, didn’t move.
Lockracks are the absolute best for hauling paddle craft. I use mine to transport Surfskis, Paddleboards, and Outrigger Canoes.

These are by far the best, most convenient carriers for a lightweight canoe. Very secure and allows you to get the canoe on and off quickly.
