I am looking for a recommendation for a roof rack that will fit on the factory installed thule rails on a new leer cap for my truck. My truck is a 2016 chevy silverado 3500 with a 6.5 ft bed. I am hoping to find a rack that is more of the flat style rack. I need the rack to be able to install kayak and bike racks from time to time but I prefer a flat rack over the cross bar style racks.

Hello Jim, thanks for reaching out. Rhino Rack actually makes a roof rack specifically for the Thule tracks that will work great for this. Take a look at the following:

This comes with everything you need to add an HD crossbar system to your camper shell. I would just ask you to verify that the 54" crossbars will be adequate for your track spacing.
The crossbars will be compatible with virtually any channel mount or clamp-on roof rack accessory. If you want a simple J-style carrier, the etrailer Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs # e98878 is what I recommend. If you prefer a more robust channel mount kayak carrier, take a look at the LockRack Series-X Universal Watersport Carrier # LR88FR. This carrier is also lockable.
For a bike rack, the Thule ProRide # TH598004 is a great option that can work for virtually any mountain bike or road bike. It can clamp to the crossbars or it can mount to the top channel. I have provided a link below that will show you our full selection of compatible roof mounted bike racks.

Hey Jim, how did the Rhino-Rack roof rack work out on your Leer cap with the Thule tracks? Did the 54-inch crossbars give you the flat style setup you were looking for? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar truck and camper shell.
