CE Smith Boat Trailer Parts - CE27682A

  • I-Beam Clamp
  • CE Smith

These clamps enable you to mount 1-1/2" square tubing on the top or bottom of an I-beam on your boat trailer or a boat lift. Its galvanized steel construction resists rust and corrosion.

Features:

  • Heavy-duty clamps secure 1-1/2" square tubing to an I-beam
    • 2 Sets are required for each I-beam - 1 clamp per end
  • Galvanized steel construction is sturdy and resists corrosion
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Fits I-Beams with width of 2-1/2" to 4-1/2"
  • Quantity: 2 sets

This set of clamps makes it easy to attach 1-1/2" tubing, such as a roller-style or bunk-style guide-on, to an I-beam on an aluminum trailer without drilling. They mount on the inside and outside of the I-beam for a snug connection.

Galvanized Steel

Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

Ideal for the cost. Clamps worked great.

by:

Excellent product and delivered as prom ised!

by:

The parts themselves seem fine. I was just disappointed that it did not come with the bolts to install. The ones I have are a different size, so now I need to find the correct bolts.

This is a great product for bay boats. I used it for a year now and it's done its job perfectly. My poles are over 6' and it holds them great!
Highly recommended

by:

Excellent product, works as described, great pricing too , thanks.

Perfect replacement and upgrade to OEM bracket

by:

Part was delivered when promised. etrailer's I-beam clamp fit perfectly, and has a stronger connection than the original (now broken) part.

by:

Excellent replacement I-beam guide on b rackets.

by:

These clamps hold boat trailer guides tight. very good product. holds up well in saltwater use.

by:

This thing is solid. Very strong. I had a round aluminum guide posts which bent and broke in a strong current. I sanded this new guide post lightly and painted it with Rust-Oleum Universal Bonding Primer, which is made for galvanized steel, because I use in salt water. Then I top coated with gloss white enamel.
Very happy with this purchase. It arrived 3 days before promised date. Much stronger than the aluminum posts I am replacing. Exceeded my expectations. Very happy with everything I have ordered from etrailer.

by:

Quick shipping and just what I needed

by:

etrailer was the only place I could find this part separately. Instead of a $4 piece to repair the failed OEM bracket on my trailer guides I was looking at a $30 kit. This design eliminates the sharp bend on my original where it cracked. Shipment was quick and complete.
Thanks for making this easy on us DIY'ers etrailer.

by:

Very well make & solid. I originally bought them for a different use (side bunks), but I will soon be using them when I add a larger step on each rear side of the trailer. These will be prefect for the application.

by:

Product was delivered promptly, was reasonably priced and was exactly the product for which I was shopping. This clamp is used to secure an “L-shaped” piece of square tubing, approximately 7 ft long end-end, to the bottom side of an I-Beam on a boat trailer. Given that the function of this is to act as a guidepost for putting a boat on the trailer, it will get bumped regularly, by a heavy boat. The result is that this design is poor for the application as these clamps cannot hold up to the amount of abuse they take. All that said, this was the exact replacement part I needed and etrailer.com was stellar!

by:

Thank you.
It is on the trailer and
holding strong.

by:

Heavy-duty, ht-dipped galvanized and the best price around. Could not find anyone else that sold these individually. Should hold up well on my saltwater trailer. Shipping was reasonable and fast. Good job etrailer!

by:

This bunk bracket fit my trailer perfectly. It was easy to order, reasonably priced, and arrived quickly. Thank you, etrailer.

  • I-Beam Clamps for Post Style Guide-Ons for a Boat Trailer
Yes, the I-Beam frame clamps that come with guide-ons # CE27635 are available separately. For one clamp you would need # CE27681G. They secure a 1-1/2 inch square tube to an I-Beam and 4 are needed per I-Beam. Or you could use # CE27682A for 2 sets. They fit I-Beams with width of 2-1/2 inches to 4-1/2 inches.

  • How To Fit CE Smith Roller Style Guide-Ons To Wide I-beam on Boat Trailer
I do have an option for you but you are correct about the hardware that comes with the CE Smith Roller-Style Guide-Ons for Boat Trailers part # CE27610 not fitting your I-beam that is 5-1/2" tall and 3-1/2" wide. However, you can still use the guide-ons with CE Smith I-Beam Clamps part # CE27682A to fit your I-beam. The other options for guide-on do not come with hardware to fit the i-beam either so you would need to use the clamps. They fit I-Beams with width of 2-1/2" to 4-1/2". I have...

Yes, you can use the CE Smith Bunk-Style Guide-On Kit # CE27600K90 for the inside pontoons on your cradle lift. You will want to ensure that the uprights will not interfere with anything under your boat when on the lift. The uprights are 19-3/4" tall from the frame rail and have no pre drilled holes for the hardware. The included hardware will fit frames up to 3" wide x 4-1/2" tall. A Extra-Long U-Bolt Kit # CE11416 will fit a frame up to 3" wide x 5-1/4" tall. Or CE Smith I-Beam Clamps...

  • Are There Recommended Guide-Ons for Pontoon Boat Trailers
I wish we had a specific set of rollers for your pontoon scissor trailer but since there are so many different designs with boat trailers and everyone has a different idea of how to utilize the rollers it really boils down to what you are wanting for your specific application. For example, the CE Smith Roller Style Guide-Ons for Pontoon Boat Trailers # CE27672 that you referenced are typically used for pontoon trailers but the rollers sit about 25" above the top of your frame. • CE Smith Bunk Guide-On's For Interior Tunnel Of Catamaran Or Pontoon Boat Trailer
Yes, the CE Smith Bunk-Style Guide-On Kit # CE27600K90 can be used as in interior tunnel guide on for your catamaran boat trailer. The L beams are 19-3/4" long and have no pre drilled holes. The kit will include mounting hardware to attach the uprights to a 3" wide by 4-1/2" tall frame. For an I-Beam style frame like in your picture you will need 2 sets of CE Smith I-Beam Clamps # CE27682A to attach to the perpendicular I-Beam that is 2-1/2" to 4-1/2" wide.

  • Recommended Guide-Ons For a 20 Foot Pontoon Boat Loading and Unloading In River Currents
As you will be loading and unloading in the stronger river current I recommend using the CE Smith Roller Style Guide-Ons for Pontoon Boat Trailers # CE27672. These use rollers that will allow for your pontoon to load easier onto your boat trailer. These will fit trailers with frames or crossmembers that are up to 3" wide and 4-1/4" tall. If you have a larger frame/crossmember a Extra-Long U-Bolt Kit # CE11416 will fit up to 3" wide and 5-1/4" tall. For an I-Beam frame the I-Beam Clamps...

  • Securing CE Smith I-Beam Clamps for Boat Trailers That keep Falling Off
The CE Smith I-Beam Clamps for Boat Trailers, part # CE27682A are designed for trailer that have an I-Beam 2-1/2 to 4-1/2 inches wide. It seems odd that one side stays on and the other side keeps falling off on your trailer. I do not recommend using an impact wrench to tighten the clamps as that could cause damage to the clamps or the boat frame. You might try using a spacer on the bolt in between the lower part of the clamps. I have attached a photo of the # CE27682A. Adding a spacer...

  • Will the CE Smith I-Beam Clamps Fit on a 4 Inch Wide Trailer I-Beam
Technically, you are only limited by the size of the nut and bolt. A longer bolt used would mean you could go to a larger I-beam. With the included hardware the minimum I-beam width is 2-1/2 inches and the maximum is 4-1/2 inches. I made a video showing this for you.
