Guide Your Boat Into and Out of the Water
When your boat trailer has been backed down the ramp and is partially submerged, these 60" tall guideposts that are mounted on the rear corners of the frame will stick out of the water, giving you 2 highly visible targets to guide your boat between when loading. The PVC pipes also provide a visual aid to help you back your boat trailer down the ramp when you're unloading your boat.
Installation
The posts are simple to install. Slide the PVC pipes over the pre-galvanized steel support posts. Then use the included I-beam clamps to mount the posts on the top or below the trailer's I-beam frame, as close to the rear corners as possible. Adjust the posts so that the distance between each post and your boat is less than 1".
Pre-Galvanized Steel
Pre-galvanized steel parts are stamped from a sheet of steel after it has already been galvanized. The edges of pre-galvanized parts often lose their zinc coating during the stamping process. Because of the thinness of the coating (less than 1 mil) and the fact that the edges remain exposed, pre-galvanized parts can begin to oxidize and rust quickly, so it's recommended that they be primed and painted.

These are very strong, well built boat guides. These are a "must have"!
The materials provided are of good quality. However, during installation I discovered that the short bolts provided were not long enough for installation. The longer bolts provided were definitely long enough but there was not enough thread length to tighten the assembly properly. Instead of running to a hardware store for different bolts, I ended up using the original mounting hardware that came with the trailer.
I thought the post was 60” long , but its the pvc that's 60”
The clamp bracket doesn’t seem to hokd tight as my existing Stainless steel ubolts., also the bolt hardware should be threaded all the way , and isnot goid for marine use!saltwater)
good quality.i have it on my trailer for over a year .its used and abused (sometimes i hit it with my boat when powerloading )still solid.
fast shipping and exactly what i needed for my shoreland'r aluminum i beam trailer.
This product was way too expensive for the quality
Guide-on's were as advertised. Straight forward quick and simple installation. Seem to be very sturdy. The option of mounting on the top or bottom of the I-beam trailer frame is a great feature.
Nice product. Just wish the bolts were galvanized as well.
This product gets 5 stars, and the shipping speed gets another 5 stars.
Excellent customer service. Great folks at etrailer. Item was delivered missing a part from the manufacturer. Customer service took care of me and shipped a replacement out the next day. CE Smith guide ons installed easily and made quality material.
The guide-ons worked great! Installed in less than 1/2 hr. Actually tried them out the very next day. We have a very tricky ramp in our neighborhood on the Lockwood Folly River. It flows both ways, depending on the ocean tide. The ramp is right on the river. Most of the time it would take 3-5 tries to load boat on trailer because the back of the boat would drift off center and off the trailer. With the guide-ons I loaded it on the trailer first try!
Just pulled the boat today and my wife did great driving onto the trailer in the exact center. Really helps to see where the end of the trailer is when it is underwater. Was very easy to install and adjust.
Functional and will last a long time.
Could have added water proof shrink wrapped wire connectors.
Absolutely love this pontoon guide! Pontoons are a pain to load sometimes when windy but these made it so boom you glide right onto the trailer
Even after smashing into it on windy days several times with the pontoon it still works fine
Great product. Didn't use the i beam brackets. Fastened the square tubing inside the tubing on the trailer of my pontoon boat. Worked perfectly.
Received my package in a timely manner. Product was exactly what was described. Will order again in the future.
Went on very easy, good design.
Guides seem well made and were easy to install. The guide lights were somewhat hard to get the wires through the guides because of the crimping on the bends. Thanks Eric
Unfortunately my boat trailer isn’t a I beam, guess I missed that when ordered. Had to order the kit for a different trailer
Excellent product. Easy to install. Makes launch and recovery much, much easier.
Received amazingly quick! Product video was very helpful in determining what to order. Installed just as easy as the video showed. Not my first purchase from e-trailer & have always been pleased with service. Thanks.
Purchased several sets for multiple trailers and am happy with the quality
