Why are CE Smith 60 Guide-On Kits Priced Differently

Hi - why is the CE27640 $ more than CE27648. It seems the dimensions and specifications are the same. Both are white, adjust out 19, made from 16 gauge The CE 27640 is 7/8longer. Thanks

Part of the difference in price is based on supply-and-demand, competitive pricing, and our price from the manufacturer. Although these have the same dimensions for the Guide-Ons both kits use different mounting techniques. The part # CE27640 uses U-Bolts which fit frames up to 3" wide x 4-1/4" (can be upgraded up to 5-1/4" tall frames with U-Bolt Kit # CE11416) while the part # CE27648 uses I-Beam clamps instead which are compatible with frames up to 4" wide.

So even though they are similar, they use different mounting options as well which also affects the price.
