Do TorkLift Battery Box Measurements Include The Lid Or Only the External Box

Question:

I have a travel trailer where the existing battery mounting rails are welded to the tongue and and have exactly 8 1/8 inch of space between the rails. The published dimensions of this battery box is 26-3/4 inch long x 8-3/16 inch wide x 13 inch tall. Are these the outside dimensions of the top lid, or are these the outside dimensions of the bottom of the box?

The TorkLift PowerArmor Locking Battery Box - Diamond Plate Aluminum, Item # TLA7708R, is 26-3/4 inches long x 8-3/16 inches wide x 13 inches tall. These are the measurements for the outside perimeter of the box and do not include the lid.

Another option to consider that will fit your width requirement is the TorkLift PowerArmor Locking Battery Box - Diamond Plate Aluminum, Item # TLA7710R. This box is 58-1/2 long x 7-5/8 inches wide x 12-3/4 inches tall.
